Draft. A hazy amber beer with a thin orangey head. The aroma has notes of brown cookie dough with lots of cardemomme and other spices. The flavor has strong notes of cardemomme as well as medium notes of cloves, leading to a dry spicy finish. The body is light.

Unclear medium red amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate to heavy spicy, nelikke, cinnamon, cold chrismas glögg. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a long duration. Body is light to medium, texture is oily - sticky, carbonation is soft. [20081120]

On tap. Pours a slightly hazy amber golden with an off-white head. Very spicy nose with distinct notes of Speculaas - cardamom is sticking out but also cinnamon and bitter orange peel. Fairly light body, medicinal and herbal spiciness. Finishes dry with a light bitterness. Clearly they just emptied a bag of Speculaas spices in this - way too much X-mas in a glass! 281108

From tap at the brewpub. Pours hazy orange/brown with a small tan head. Raisin and cardemomme sweet and spiced aroma. Sweet and mild roasted malty with a distinct dry cardemomme flavour following. Dry and spiced finish with a herbal driven bitterness. Quite dry herbal and cardemomme spiced in the far finish.
