COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Een bijna zwarte stout die weliswaar licht is qua alcoholpercentage, maar door het gebruik van echte grand cru vanille uit Tahiti en een subtiele rijping op eikenhout toch voor een ware smaaksensatie zorgt.

Black brown colour, beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, vanilla, caramel and a hint of wood. Light bitter flavour, roasted malts, sweet touch, some hops. Finish vanilla, cacao, malts and toast. Great beer, especially considering the abv.

On tap at Van Moll. Dark brown to black colour, beige head. Aroma of lovely roasted malts, subtle vanilla, dark chocolate. Smells great. Flavour of hard roasted malts, vanilla, brown malts, chocolate, decent malty bitter finish. Light-bodied. Tasty.

Pours a beautiful black beer with a good creamy tan head. Smells delicious. Coffee, chocolate, roasted and vanilla. Tastes vanilla, coffee and roasty. Bit watery but its oke. I miss a bit body. Dry texture, thin body and an average carbo.

Lots of roasted malt in the aroma. Flavour has bitter, burnt malts and coffee. Not particularly strong with the taste of vanilla. Very smooth.

Tap at Van Moll, 200 ml pint glass. Very dark brown, almost totally black colour on the body, thin off-white head with veru good retention, leaving heavy lacing on the glass. Aroma is of dark roasted malts, along with light chocolate notes. Taste begins light sweet but it turns very quickly to bitter with long duration. Lots of coffee in there, the vanilla is light to non-existent. Dry on the palate, medium body, good carbonation. Overall good beer and taking its ABV into account this is really well made, but since is advertised as vanilla stout, I would expect a little more vanilla both on aroma and flavour.

Draught@Van Moll: Served in a Van Moll taster: Medium to smaller dark beige to light brown foamy head/lacing on top of a deep dark brown to black colored beer. Aromas of roast, coffee, chalk, hay and grain roast with a strong and dominating coffee roast aroma. Flavours of roast, bitters, coffee, malt roast, weed, hay roast and some chocolate. Aftertaste has tones of malt roast, bitters, coffee and some chocolate. Low carbo, soft creamy mouthfeel, good medium to lightly fuller bodied and a creamy watery texture. Wow, for 4.6% ABV this is a very good beer!

Gedronken bij van moll. Zwarte kleur, beige/bruine schuimkraag. Ruikt naar koffie, vanille. Bam volle koffie chocolade vanille smaak. Ik hou niet van koffie maar toch wel lekker.

Sampled from bottle during shareholders pre-opening event. Pitch black color, medium sized dense light brown head. Smell and taste malts, roasted malts, coffee, bitter, slightly vanilla, maybe a hint of smoke. Long lingering roasty bitter finish. Great mouthfeel and flavor for a beer of only 5.3% ABV. Very nice.
