4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle. [thank you, after4ever]
Pours deep chestnut with slight red edges. Big, creamy, beige head. Great lacings. Flavour has lots of nice cherries, deep dark chocolate, light fruity tartness, some spicy liqourice. Medium carbonation, great creamy mouthfeel. Rather dry in the finish. Flavour is lovely tart, plums, lots of chocolate, light liqourice, cherries with no marzipan. Some caramel, cocoa, coconut, oak and a sherry feel throughout. Long, lingering dryness. Very elegant. Like a blend of a great porter/dubbel and a sour cherry ale. Yum!

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle shared by Marcus. Pours extremely dark witha a creamy light tan head. Wonderful aromas of lighter dark fruits. Dates? Near full bodied with creamy carbonation. Flavor is mildly sour with dark malt. It’s definitely fruity. Seems like kriek. Extremely tasty. Like a cross between kriek and quad. The cherry comes forth more strongly with time. Surprising. Amazing. Wonderful.

Tap at Max’s. Murky deep brownish red with a thin tan head. Aroma of dark fruits, sourdough bread and saltwater taffy. Tastes of malt, plums, slight funkiness. Could be more complex, but tasty enough.
