COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Much like Vancouver Islandís aerial firefighters, this twist on a traditional IPA will extinguish your thirst. This Bomber packs a full payload of hop power delivered on target with the smoothness of wheat malt. With a complex hop flavour balanced in flight with notes of fruit and spice, this beer isnít just for emergencies.

Bomber given to me by a friend. Pours an extremely heady cloudy yellow, with an as mentioned very active and bubbly white head, that leaves behind clouds of lacing not unlike Super Mario Bros. Smells like Belgian yeast, and quite sweet. Tastes quite sweet and bitter and very much like Belgian yeast again. Very light and refreshing.

Bomber poured a hazy gold with a large lasting white head. Aromas of wheat, spice, grapefruit, light yeast and light pepper. Plate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of wheat, lemon zest, white pepper, grapefruit zest and light yeast with a smooth dry bitter lingering peppery citrus finish.

UPDATED: MAY 30, 2012 650ml bottle. Aroma of green hops, tropical fruit, yeast, coriander. Pours a foggy light yellow with decent amount of foamy off-white head. Great mix of sweet and bitter; an IPA/wheat beer hybrid with a long, interesting dry hop finish. New, exciting, refreshing. This beer is right on target.

Solid white IPA. Tastes like a blend of a Belgian wit and a Belgian saison, plus lots of hops. Very spicy, bright, citrusy (lemon esters mostly) and refreshing. Slightly earthy (yeasty), tea-like and wheaty. Slight cookie dough sweetness. Lots of white pepper. Healthy amount of hop bitterness provides a lingering bitterness, which blends with some pepper and alcohol warmth in the aftertaste. I believe this is one of the boldest and hoppiest white IPAs Iíve had yet.

In short: A wheat ale hopped like an American IPA. Above average take on this new trend
How: Bottle 22oz Consumed fresh less than one month after the beer release. Bottle from mcberko, thanks a lot Matt
The look: Glowing yellow body topped by a large white head with good retention and leaving lots of lacings on the glass
In long: Nose is bright tropical fruits, fresh yellow bananas and some herbaceous notes. Taste is full of crisp wheat, nice fresh yellow bananas, mild wheaty acidity, a generous hopping that adds plenty of tropical fruits and grassy notes but without cranking up the bitterness level. Finish is relatively dry and the dry yellowed grass aspect of the hops take over in the after-taste. Nourishing beer, a worthy entry in this new Wheat IPA trend although not the most refreshing example of this bastard style. A fine beer. I like this new trend of Wheat IPAs, I think Wheat IPAs are the best thing since sliced bread topped with bacon strips and then deep-fried in melted butter.

22 oz. bottle, pours an opaque cloudy golden yellow with a medium white head. Nose is very Belgian, more like a Tripel or a very dry Belgian Ale, with lots of yeast, coriander, citrus peel, some banana and clove - some citrus hops. Flavour is quite dry and yeasty, like a Belgian Ale, with champagne yeast, very dry citrus peel, Belgian spices, and some feint banana - finishes spicy and dry hoppy. High carbonation, very dry all around, yeasty, spicy and bitter. Surprisingly delicious.

Bottle 650ml. Slightly unclear golden beer with a giant head. A very fruity aroma with in a second smell the hops. The taste is very hoppy and spicy. So mainly bitterness in the taste. When the beer warms up it gets more fruity. Itís medium carbonated.

Yeasty aroma with coriander, citrus, grass. Body is very Belgian white - replicating the nose with a little bit of citrus hop. This is quite nice, as the belgian flavors fade a lingering bitter yeasty aftertaste emerges.

Hazy, golden yellow with a giant white head. A little hops but not as much as I thought. No bitterness though, very smooth. Great hop aroma. Bottle 2 from Victoria. 071612
