Dark brown, very malty. Not overpowering in the hops department. The best beer for a steak and ceasar salad!

Noir avec un col moyen marron. L’arôme du malt torréfié et du chocolat. Assez du corps avec malt torréfié et chocolat, puis une finale legerment amer et très bien équilibré.

341 ml bottle. Clear deep dark copper, lasting small foamy tan head. Aroma of darker roasted lager malt, chocolate and nuts. Taste is darker toasty lager malt, milk chocolate, a bit nutty with a hint of coffee, faint earthy herbal hop. Average carbonation, light bodied, lightly hopped. Surprisingly nice milder robust flavor with a light clean lager finish makes it: MLF (More Lagerboy Friendly)

Tap, brewery. Nice clear dark brown body with a small foamy off-white head. Great chocolate and roasted malt nose with some sweet licorice and caramel. The flavor is a bit thin and husky, but there’s some nice chocolate and light roastiness. Very clean finish with licorice and light roast coffee. Clean crisp mouthfeel, fine fizzy carbonation. Nice light hoppiness on the back end. Really nice easy drinking beer. Came across much like a Schwarzbier.

No matter what time of year it is this is one dark lager that I don’t mind having a pint of. The coffee chocolate start with a smokey finish is always great. A great beer for all seasons!

Sample at Picaroons Brewers Bash. This kind of reminded me of a lighter porter or dark German style lager. Roasty, a little bit of coffee and chocolate, but it had a rather thin lager body. Probably a better taste than the Guinness black lager going around now, but not as good of a body.
