Very hoppy, although not at IPA levels. Weak carbonation, bitter aftertaste. Tastes good and is drinkable. I liked it.

On tap @ Howard Johnson (by the Commonwealth Pool). Clear amber pour with a moderate white head, medium retention. Aroma is sweet, fruity, and malts. Taste is lightly hopped, malts, and mild sweet citrus (orange?). Smooth, medium bodied, and quite good.

UPDATED: APR 29, 2014 Apr 29, 2014 - fresher and better. 650ml bottle from Penticton. Less sweet, more tasty malts, well done and Iím surprised how much Iím enjoying this.

Crystal clear and amber, Piperís dumped into a glass produces less than expected white head and pretty much goes average all the way. Aromas of sweet malts, slightly floral hops and maybe a metallic feel (not sure). Taste is pretty standard as well with decent malts on the sweet side, weak spicy hops and a touch of overripe orange fruit (not oranges though). Fairly smooth beer, medium bodied with a weak bitter finish.

Draught at Vancouver airport lounge
Amber color. It has a nice hoppy aroma, but the flavor is more common. Still, one of the few interesting beers at airport lounges.

On tap at Maple Leaf Lounge, Vancouver Airport. Nice amber body with low carbonation and a thin off-white creamy head. Thin malty/hoppy aroma with light roasty hints. Decent hoppy taste with malty notes. Ends with a bad grassy/metallic aftertaste.

draft, also at some bar in Victoria - Pours copper with a thin, fading head. The aroma has some light malt and hops. The taste is caramel malts and pretty light hops for the style. It was on the thin side, though not too bad. There are plenty of better beers around.

frink (467) - coquitlam, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 13, 2006
On tap in some bar in Victoria. Light amber colour with a thin head. A touch of sweet maltiness in the nose and not much else. The flavour is lacking in hops for a pale ale and is a bit watery. However it was free!
