3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
[Bottle (341ml).] Pours a deep orange-amber with an average size diminishing frothy off-white head. Aroma is lightly sweet, malty and fruity along with some grain and nuts. Flavour of caramel malt, notes of fruit and nuts and no hops to speak of. Average bodied. Too mild and average for me, it’s clean and inoffensive at least.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
This lager poured a deep amber colour with a big, creamy, light tan coloured head. Scents include light caramel, dough, bread and old books? First sip was very smooth to almost the point of watery. Flavours of light smoke, caramel and roasted malt most predominant. Finish was malty and thin.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
341ml bottle. Clear amber body, big creamy head with good retention. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, floral hops, some cheese, rye bread and a little bit of metallic notes. Taste is light and on the sweet side: caramel, sweet malt, mineral water, dried apricots, a touch of herbal hops. Good.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Clear dark reddish amber colour with a thin, rapidly disappearing head and minimal lacing. Aroma is pretty much just caramel and nutty malt with only a tiny hint of hops. Medium bodied, quite smooth and slightly syrupy. the taste is as expected from the aroma, caramel malts with a hint of toasted nuts, very little indistinct hop character or bitterness to balance the sweet. Not bad, just a little on the bland side.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle - Puts a clear copper ale in the glass with a 1 finger cap that goes to a surface lace, but does modestly lace the glass. Aroma has a bit of burnt caramel and some grassy tones. Silky mouth feel, medium bodied. Flavour has some nice maltiness in front the hopping is in a support role here so there are some pleasant malt-hop combination tastes, toasty caramel, hints of licorice, boiled apple butter - goes to a clean malt forward finish with the hops giving a light tang in the end. Great choice of malts , important in an amber. Quite drinkable and flavourful for a commercial craft ale, I was surprised."

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tap, brewery. Pours a clear dark amber body with a small frothy beige head, nice retention. Smells of caramel and crystal malt, light floral hops. Nice toasty malt, moderate bitterness, not overly sweet. Finishes with some decent bitey hops. Medium bodied, a touch sticky, fizzy carbonation. Above average for the style.
