sayravai (2992), Helsinki, Finland Feb 3, 2006 (Bottled) Hazy golden color with a smallish, quite tight head. Lots of big yeast clumps in the bottom of bottle. Nice, fresh and lamony hop aroma with a clear, sourish lambicky feel. Fruity flavor of fresh, lemony-grassy hops. Medium-bodied, fresh and crisp, slightly sour palate with balanced carbonation. A very pleasant, balanced and interesting, refrehing brew. Somewhere between Duvel, XX-bitter and lambic. Could buy again ;) diabel (1188), Aarschot, Belgium Sep 15, 2005 Bottle White, large, firm, rocky head, which lasts mostly. Hazy yellow body. Quite a lot of CO_2 in the body. Good lace. Nose of citrus and fine malts. Strange, doubtful flavour for a pilsener (at least in the beginning). Moderately bitter, lightly sour intial flavour. Lightly bitter, lightly sour finish. It was quite weird tasting this, because I was wondering whether I liked it. But it defenitely is not as flavourless like the big brands’ pilseners. I quite like it anyway. JorisPPattyn (4246), Antwerpen, Belgium Apr 9, 2004 Pale gold; lacey white head. A markedly nose of CO², grassy too. Chalk, slight acidity (really) in the taste - not lactic or acetic, not even wheat. Herbal, no doubt and some diacetyl. Very light bodied, refreshing - something you have ot drink and fast. Nice, typical house-brewery beer, but in a good way. Carries an age-old Brussels name. I just wonder if their beers are really brewed on the premises...
