COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
John Chapman was an American pioneer that was credited with bringing apple trees to the Midwest in the early 1800s. He was regarded as a kind and generous nurseryman whose apples were often used to make hard cider. Today he is better known as Johnny Appleseed. Chapman’s Blend is made from a variety of American heritage apples that all come from Michigan and have over 200 years of history in the US. Varieties include: Winesap, Baldwin, Northern Spy and Jonathan. It is a semi-dry cider with a clean fruit flavor and slight carbonation. These apples offer subtleties to cider that are not possible with more dessert-like varieties. They are often more acidic and carry more tannin through to the juice.

Had on tap at their place in Spring Hill. Light golden pour with slight white head. Aroma of tart apples. Flavor is tart apple, but very smooth and clean. A very nice cider.

750ml bottle, shared by tmoney99. Clear golden color. Virtually no head. Medium body. Smooth, kind of soft, lighter carbonation. Light slick. Moderate sweet, kind of tart and tangy. Yellow apple flavor, not much to it for me. Solid cider over all, though. Just not really my style.

Bottle. Poured clear yellow color with a minimal white head that diminished slowly with fair lacing. Moderate to heavy aroma of tart green apple. Medium body with a dry texture and soft carbonation. Medium tart apple flavor with a medium tart finish of moderate duration. My expectations were met.

750 ml bottle shared by Tmoney99. Pours a very pale yellow color with zero head. The aroma and flavor have sweet, moderately tangy apple, mild tart character like Granny Smith apples, just a hint of skins. This has enough character to keep things interesting, but it is still just a cider.

750 ml bottle to snifter (shared by Tmoney99). Looks good; a transparent light gold with thin white head that quickly dissipates into very thin lacing. Smells of good apples with a nose on the dryer side. Tastes like it smells with a nice, tart mouthfeel. Semi-sweet. A good cider.

On tap at cidery pours a clear pale straw with a thin white head. Aroma is dry and musky apples, light honey. Taste is very dry almost sourly tart. Dry and refreshing!

Draft. Clear gold pour. Smell is light apple some tartness. Flavor is a rich and tart though still sweet cider. It is more acidic and bright rather than rotten and musty.
