COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dark Roast is a powerful, dark beer, full of flavour. The roasted tones are produced by roasted barley and coffee. - be surprised -

Black with small off-white head. Very fruity with red and black berries, strawberry jam, some milk chocolate, nice spices and some roasted grains and nuts. Light sweet with light tart touch and slight bitter in the finish. Medium bodied with creamy feel. Nice beer even though I don't get much coffee.

It has sweet, chocolate and malty aroma. Seal color, non-transparent with brown reflections. Poor head with lacing which is ok. Taste mostly malty, a little bit alcoholic. The bitterness is nice, not so big but very pleasant, nicely moderated by sweetness.

Scopey (6812) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 16, 2014
Bottle thanks to ChrisO. It pours clear mahogany brown with a medium light tan head. The nose is roasty, earthy, coffee, cocoa, dried fruits and caramel. The taste is roasty, coffee-driven, mild acidity, wood, dirt, cocoa and light alcohol with a dry, toasty finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Fairly one-dimensional, but still not bad.

Chriso. Watery. Not much stout or coffee flavour. Muddled brown malt flavour. OK.

Bottle at Casper is back tasting. Dark brown clear. Lasting beige head. Some coffee. It’s ok. Quite light.

33 cl bottle @ hotel room, Amsterdam. BBE 07/2015
Label said that this was brewed at Sint Servattumus
Aroma has vanilla and some coffee tones. Flavour is sweet with sugary and syrupy tones, some coffee, caramel and toffee. Feels a bit like Belgian dark ale with all its sweetness – but the roasty notes are definitely from a stout. Way too many cubes of sugar in this coffee.

Intresting stout. Not really mindblowing but more like a clean coffee stout good to drink in the morning.

33cl bottle Apperance: Allmost with a quickly dissapearing head, which leaves some lacing. Aroma: Roasted malts, barley and coffee Taste: light sweetness, medium to heavy bitterness, slightly sour with mainly coffee and rooasted malts in the taste in the finish there are some licorice notes. Aftertaste is Laurus nobilis licorice. Overcarbonated for it’s average body. Not sure about the taste palate and the overcarbonation, in the end ok for me not that great.
