33 cl. bottle @ home. I have been looking forward to this one. Procured from Willems. BBF 07/2014. Slow gusher – uh oh. Nose is sour, red wine barrel bacteria, brett, sour red fruits, tart, wine, porto, red wine grapes,… like an American sour – bad sign but actually smells nice. Taste I would chalk up to infection & feels that way like other brews by them but this is actually nice, old red wine barrels, brett, sour fruits & berries, overripe, red wine barrel bacteria heavy, some salted bacon, salt in the back, incredible infection, tart fermenting, overripe, rotting fruits, rotting cherries, light fruit,… It has that overly carbonated infected body going on. For once the infections work out – very interesting.

Very dark pour. Much darker than most Belgian strongs. Dark brown. Distinct smell. Totally reminds me of this 2l cooler I used to buy back when I first started drinking. This is kinda cool and nostalgic but no beer should really smell like this. Wow this has more in common with some of the wines I’ve had recently. Very unique. Very few "beer qualities" I’m sure this sounds horrible to some of you but I find it fantastic. Made a good call with this one.

Bottle at Jimmy's no. 43 NYC. With a name like cochone in it I expected some bacon smoke taste. Slightly tart and sour, but kind of bland ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From tasting notes. Bottle. Pours dark brown with lots of chunkies and a small tan head. Sweet fruity aroma with some spices. Sweet, fruity flavor with light spices, a strange tartness and alcohol.

Weird label. Not sure what this is trying to be. It is like a non soured flemish red or a dubbel.

Wittales (625) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - MAR 23, 2013
Appearance was cloudy honey light caramel with diminishing creamy off white 1 finger head, no lacing. Aromas are sweet caramel, toffee , honey malts. Deep fruits, candi with some sourish unqiue yeasts with barnyard dank or musky, no alcohol. Taste are sweet light malt backbone with sourness of funky yeasts with plum, cherry and raisin, alcohol is present. Palate was velvety creamy CO2 with med- full body, Long fruity sourish warming different funky finish. A different breed of brew here.
