330ml bottle at BXL East. Poured a hazy orange amber with, frankly, the most massive off-white head I’ve ever seen. This thing was out of control. Aroma is sweet and tart with lots of yeast. Taste had a number of notes to it: spice (coriander and chicory), orange, berries, yeast, must, funk and oak/wine/port. The finish was slightly sour and dry. The flavor profile of this was all over the place but it kind of worked for me. Interesting beer.

33 cl. bottle @ home. I have been looking forward to this one. Procured from Willems. BBF 07/2014. Slow gusher – uh oh. Nose is sour, red wine barrel bacteria, brett, sour red fruits, tart, wine, porto, red wine grapes,… like an American sour – bad sign but actually smells nice. Taste I would chalk up to infection & feels that way like other brews by them but this is actually nice, old red wine barrels, brett, sour fruits & berries, overripe, red wine barrel bacteria heavy, some salted bacon, salt in the back, incredible infection, tart fermenting, overripe, rotting fruits, rotting cherries, light fruit,… It has that overly carbonated infected body going on. For once the infections work out – very interesting.
