3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
This makes the Lindemans Gueuze I just had seem sweet by comparison. It has an appley taste with no detectable bitterness. If there’s 8% alcohol, I have NO idea where it is. It’s amazingly well-hidden! I think I’d take a gueuze over this pucker-inducer.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: SEP 28, 2006 Bottled 1996:
Dark straw, headless, smells of sour grapes. Sharply acidic. Nice body. I really have never tasted anything like it. I think most people would spit it out and say this is complete shit. But its amazingly drinkable and smooth. But the acidity is too much for my palate, dont think I will go down this road too often. As you drink it(big bottle) it definitey grows on you.I think any beer fan should give it a shot. Unique to say the least.
Above I think I was just being a pussy, I need to buy another bottle and see what is has for me.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: MAY 24, 2004 This beer hasn't shocked me in subsequent tastings quite the way it did at first. Opaque tan colour; corky sourish aroma. Thinnish mouthfeel, quick and refreshing. Not usually as sour nor as spicy as my first sample.
Previous rating: An intense acidic sharpness, a smooth and vibrant body, touch of herbal spices, and a perilous drinkability. Ar 9, Ap 4, F 10, P 5, O 19
