Bottle from Bruisin’ Ales in Asheville. Murky golden pour with big foamy white head and impressive lacing. Nose of funk, lemon, roasted garlic, fruity nutmeg, and earthiness. Similar palate with a bit more leather and fruit--definite apple and apricot notes. Thin palate, but that seemed okay. A tasty beer.

750ml bottle served in a Duvel tulip. Light gold pour topped by a white head. Smells of lemon, funk, cork, light tartness. Taste of leather, wood, lemon, spices, light funk, finishes with a burst of sugary sweetness. Not true to style but a decent drinker anyway.

(Bottle, 0.33 l, at Mallaskukko, Turku, on 2008-08-30) Golden. Hazy. Fruity and spicy nose with citric aromas. Small quickly disappearing white head. Medium bodied lightly sugary palate with medium carbonation. Spicy, hint of dried plum and light bitterness in taste. A bit tto spicy.

33 cl bottle, bought at Ølkonsortiet, Aalborg. A bit unclear dark golden color with sediments in it (a lot in the second half of the bottle). Moderate, disappering white head. Aroma is fruity and sweet. Flavor is sweet and fruity, with hints of alcohol and hints of hoppy bitterness.

Clear golden of color with a longlasting white head. An aroma with spice, sweets, hops and dry notes. A flavor with sweets, spice, fruit and a weak dry finish. Hints of yest.
