Commercial Description:
Vedett, a blond, light, well hopped premium beer with 5.2% alcohol content, is the cult Duvel Moortgat beer today: following its birth in 1945, it quickly acquired fame and recognition within an intimate circle of insiders in the Antwerp-Brussels region. But do not think for a moment that this oldtimer is thinking about retirement, quite the contrary. For the past years, Vedett has been going through a second childhood in a number of trendy cafés located mainly in big cities. The secret of its charm? A retro-look, a capricious taste, Vedett-allure and the "golden touch" of the brewery. These past years, the brewery armed Vedett with an innovative, hip, young and slightly absurd image. A successful strategy, especially with the youth: Right now, you'll find Vedett in Belgian Delhaize supermarkets and most Flemish cities as well as in Brussels. And the follow-up to the story? You can read it at www.vedett.com.

33cl Bottle. Pale yellow appearance with foamy white head. Light nutty, malty aroma. Fresh malty flavor with citruses and moderate spicy hops at the end. The flavor is quite flat, but the body isn’t thin at all, almost oily.

Bottles in São Paulo - A nice and refreshing pale lager beer. Light golden appearance, with a clear and nice white head. Fruity aroma with some tips of malt. The malt dominates the flavor but you can fell some fruity tips also. Hoppy ending. Delicious!!

Bottled, 330ml at Cafe Belge, Canterbury. Pale gold with white head. Dull pilsner type, little life, grainy and malty, drinkable but really not exciting, however the only rate left in Cafe Belge for me.

Bottle: At a Dutch style restaurant/bar in Curacao. Golden pour with a brief white head- perfect clarity. Dry aroma with some apparent skunked Euro hops and mild pale bready notes. Fizzy body. Fairly dry- crisp dry pale malt base with some peppery and minerally character. Very skunked and a touch of saltiness on the back. Too skunked- typical macro European lager.
