COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Vedett, a blond, light, well hopped premium beer with 5.2% alcohol content, is the cult Duvel Moortgat beer today: following its birth in 1945, it quickly acquired fame and recognition within an intimate circle of insiders in the Antwerp-Brussels region. But do not think for a moment that this oldtimer is thinking about retirement, quite the contrary. For the past years, Vedett has been going through a second childhood in a number of trendy cafés located mainly in big cities. The secret of its charm? A retro-look, a capricious taste, Vedett-allure and the "golden touch" of the brewery. These past years, the brewery armed Vedett with an innovative, hip, young and slightly absurd image. A successful strategy, especially with the youth: Right now, you'll find Vedett in Belgian Delhaize supermarkets and most Flemish cities as well as in Brussels. And the follow-up to the story? You can read it at www.vedett.com.

Pours a clear yellow. Has a light aroma of malt. Taste is light malty and grainy. Very mild bitterness afterwards. Nothing special about this beer at all. Little taste and nothing worth remembering. Won't be ordering this again.

Bière blonde assez commune; jolie mousse blanche; arômes discrets; goût équilibré entre douceur et amertume, mais manquant un peu de personnalité

Bottle. Pours clear golden with a white head. Aroma is floral, grainy and some nuts. Taste is light bitter and light sweet. Light to medium bodied and quite fizzy.

Clear pale yellow with nice foam top. Fizzy. A bit hoppy, a hint of Lennon maybe. Refreshing lager

330ml can at home. Clear pale yellow, little white head. Aromas of cereal and lemon. Taste has a light honey sweetness. Finish crisp and clean. OK.

I can’t believe this beer is such a hype in Belgium. In my opinion, there is nothing special about it!

330ml bottle from Vanuxeem. Harmless enough blond.. not quite sure why it’s called ’extra’ blonde. I guess this is Duvel’s attempt at a more drinkable session beer. Solid taste, moderate sweetness.. nice enough.

Bottle from Rythmn and Booze. Pale, straw colour. White head. Grainy. Lemon. Grass. Taste is that, with a metallic edge. Some sweetness. Light, dry finish.

Typisch zomer bier.
