COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Vedett, a blond, light, well hopped premium beer with 5.2% alcohol content, is the cult Duvel Moortgat beer today: following its birth in 1945, it quickly acquired fame and recognition within an intimate circle of insiders in the Antwerp-Brussels region. But do not think for a moment that this oldtimer is thinking about retirement, quite the contrary. For the past years, Vedett has been going through a second childhood in a number of trendy cafés located mainly in big cities. The secret of its charm? A retro-look, a capricious taste, Vedett-allure and the "golden touch" of the brewery. These past years, the brewery armed Vedett with an innovative, hip, young and slightly absurd image. A successful strategy, especially with the youth: Right now, you'll find Vedett in Belgian Delhaize supermarkets and most Flemish cities as well as in Brussels. And the follow-up to the story? You can read it at www.vedett.com.

My favourite pale lager! Clear with white head. Sweet malt, mild taste, not bitter. Thin body ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Quintessential Pilsener in my opintion. Smells really crisp, has a pleasant grainy-hoppy taste. More carbonation than usual. It just looks a tad anemic.

More hoppy that your bog standard lager this is a premium beer and a very refreshing drink, it’s still only a lager so don’t expect a Duvel or anything like it. lovely BBQ beer if you don’t want the non beer nerd friends and neighbours losing the run of themselves.

UPDATED: JUN 21, 2012 Blond, white hopped premium beer. Very good branding / marketing and perfect fit in between pils and strong beers. Should be compared in its own class, high end pils.

The most people here review this beer expecting another Belgian ’great one’. But that’s not the goal of the Vedett. Believe me the Vedett is one of the best lagers around when it comes to drinking on a good night out. Not to heavy, more distinguished than Jupiler. You can drink lots of it without getting to drunk. And come on, compared to shitweiser or Heineken, this one is way better.

This one is pretty easy to drink. Like the fanpictures on the bottle. Smell is not very great. Bit funky.
