Smaakt een beetje naar perzik, je moet er van houden. Voor mijn was het geen bier die ik snel nog 1 keer pak

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
330ml bottle served in a tulip glass.
Pours a hazy dark orange color forming a big soapy and creamy white head. Good retention and lots of lingering lacings left in the glass. Strong notes of caramel, sweet malts, grapefruit and citrus hops in the nose. The combination of caramel and citrus hops reminds an American IPA. However, yeasts have a quite Belgian character. Taste follows the nose. Slightly sweet caramel, strong notes of grapefruit, orange zest and citrus hops. Good stingy hops bitterness. Bready yeasts. Medium body and carbonation. Great drinkability. Good surprise.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Golden with small white head. Light biscuits, caramel, dry fruitiness with dried apricots, light pepper and lots of light bitter hops in the finish. Lively carbonation. Very drinkable but a bit light on the aroma.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Not long ago, the Duvel Triple Hop of the same brewery took the lead of my taste ranking - so I had huge expectations! And the first impression is also positive: full, dry and fruity. The hops strike but don’t hurt. The very complex taste takes you on a journey through peaches and apricot plantations, dried plum and several hints of exotic fruit. Very nice and not over-hopped. On the other hand, the finish is somehow short, only the hop dryness is glued to your palate, all the fruity notes fade very quickly. The body is medium.
This IPA is more accessible to the wide public than the Duvel Triple Hop. Still, it’s a hop-bomb with a wonderful variaty of exotic fruit tastes. A nice aperitif. And even if Moortgat recommends to dink it at 3°C, try it at 6°C, you’ll get even more fruit !

A really nice and light IPA. Might very well replace shitty lagers as a default beer, because the taste is very light. Great beer.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Terre de Boissons Calais and drunk at home. Clear gold amber with a slight haze lasting thin white head. Grapefruit hoppy aroma. To be honest I wasn’t expecting much but what I got was a pleasantly drinkable grapefruit hoppy ipa. Decent to drinkable.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours clear deep golden colour with a thick white head which lingers nicely.
Fairly light aroma with notes of citrus, tropical fruit and cut grass.
Moderate hop flavour which is sustained in the mouth and evolves as the beer warms. Same notes as the aroma including some spiciness. Light malt sweetness with flavours of toffee, honey and bread.
Dry finish with light bitterness. Medium carbonation and body - belies the 6% ABV.
Overall a very tasty and enjoyable beer but not really hoppy enough for an IPA.

Huge thanks Yves for sharing this with us! Poured a lovely, slightly hazy golden/orange body with a small, thick white head. Aroma... hmmm...sweetbread, dusty, slightly herbal, very very light alcohol... not a blast of hops really, but you immediately see that there’s some interesting stuff going on here. Taste... A mix of juicy, citric C-hop notes, orange peel, honey, perfumey, more sweetbread. Ending with a mild bitterness - could use just a tad more, and it’d be great. Not quite Duvel Tripel Hop, but miles ahead of the regular Vedett!
