2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Fully hazy pale yellow beer, very carbonated to fluffy, snow-white head leaving lace. Coriander jumping out the glass, perfumed to the point of nausea, despite the cold serving temperature. Perfumed taste, curbed by the cold. Despite that, the coriander keeps rolling its muscles. There’s really hardly anything else. Very carbonated MF, wheat slickness. OUCH! Moortgat can do much better, puh-leaze! And then this ridiculous name.

330ml bottle shared by pepsican. Poured a cloudy yellow color with a white head that reduced after a minute or so to a thin film. Distinct sulfurous aroma reminiscent of a smoke bomb. There was also some lemon, spice, and plenty of fresh yeasty bread dough. Light to medium bodied and a bit tart. The flavor was understated, overall, with notes of yeasty bread dough and citrus fruit. There was also a bit of sulfur again.

This beer was no joke, thanks dickinsonbeer! Hazy lemonade color with a white soapy head. Lemon, sulfur aroma. Flavor had quite a bit of lemon tartness, earth, orange, sulfur. Sharp acidic finish but very quick then gone like a nice berliner. This was very nice.

330ml bottle thanks to willblake. Milky yellow body with a tall, foamy white head. Perfect appearance for a witbier. Nose is pleasantly pungent with a saison-like spiciness and pungency accompanying the coriander, clove and citrus fruit aromatics. Flavor is surprisingly bright, juicy, and tart, with abundant lemon juice and pillowy yeast, along with a smooth textured wheat body. Wonderful beer, easily the best witbier I’ve had.

12 oz bottle from BCTC VIP Dinner. Poured cloudy golden in color with a medium sized white head. Aroma of some lemon citrus, bready yeast, and wheat. Taste of lemongrass, citrus fruits, coriander, wheat and some bready yeast. The finish has some mild spices and is crisp and quite drinkable. I really enjoyed this.

Bottle. "Acquired" by willblake at the BCTC vip dinner. Thanks Jon! Pours golden with a nice white head. This was a nice, easy drinking belgian wit. I didn’t take notes on it, but I can taste it right now just thinking about it. Very crisp mouthfeel with a good amount of yeast and a tiny bit of tartness. Not too spicy, which was a pleasant change from what I am used to in the style. Very enjoyable wit. I bet Jon has a case of these in his fridge right now.
