Vedett Extra White has a delicious refreshing taste, surprisingly crisp punctuated with an orange- and lemon like zest, rounded with a mildly bitter taste and dry finish.

Bottled (Bs, BB 08/2009). Hazy pale yellow color, small white head, some lace. Bubblegum-rubbery wheaty nose. Just after opening a bottle, also cat pee hoppy aromas. Lemony, zesty, some bubblegum. Short citrus acidic aftertaste. Decent refreshing summer drink, but quite one-dimensional.

Bottle at Corks & Forks, Highgate, London on 13/07/09. Pours yellow and thickly hazy with a 1/4" white head. Herby hop aromas soon joined by yeasty pungency and a lemony astringency with just the hint of cabbage/fennel notes. A lively zingy mouthfeel; finishes dry. Rather pleasant.

Wheatbeer with small hop, high carbonation, but a bit too sour to my taste. Had it straight from the bottle. Therefore no visual description.

The extra white had a quiet interesting taste: not that rubbery as the vedett blonde... yuk. Colour is awful: sort of watery whiteblond with no head at all. Taste is better, sweet, grainy (though a bit watery as well).

I got a bottle with myself on it from a promotion stunt for this beer in ’the republiek brugge’. White head disappearing fastly and a strange light yellow colour. Coriander and fruity smell like you should have with a witbier. Taste: a bit too watery, sweet, coriander, grainy. Not a bad witbier but you can find better ones. And Moortgat has either better beers than this.
