Mes_and_Sim (4476), Highgate, Greater London, England Oct 6, 2008 A Mes rate: bottle at Beer Exposed. Cloudy lemon yellow with a thin but lasting white head. Strong tobacco on the nose was most unexpected. Yeasty wit flavour with some good citric notes on a decent grainy base. Wheaty and refreshing finish. Better than I was expecting to be honest and vastly superior to the other Vedett beer but it’s certainly over-rated here at the current 3.52 score if you ask me. weaselkenievil (374), Cheshire, England Oct 5, 2008 Cask at the New Oxford, Salford. Very pale, slightly cloudy yellow with a white head. Citrus, coriander, with a little nicely balanced spice. Really enjoyed it sat in the sun, drinkable and a nice witbier for sure. thewolf (3963), Kolding, Denmark Oct 2, 2008 Bottle @ Beer Exposed, September 2008.
Pours a somehow pretty, muddy yellow with a weak greenish teint. Great aroma, lots of citric, good wheat. High carbonation, very fine mouthfeel still, making the beer quite frothy. Flavour has lots of good yeast, some very well-balanced citrus, grainy wheat. Some light tartness from the citrus, but with a good, sweet, wheaty finish. Very nice wit.
