Bottled@AIH53 (Vinmonopolet, Kirkenes). Reddish brown colour, mediumsized brown head, which leaves lace. Aroma is sweet fruits, caramel, toffee and malts. Flavour is very dryish grassy/hayish hops and some sweet malts, which doesn’t manage to balance the hops up. Rather unbalanced.

Bottled 500ml (AIH53, from Vm Kirkenes)
Murky brown-amber color steady beige head. Aroma has lots of caramalt, berries and fruity notes. Medium to full-bodied. Lots of caramel, light unclean note, overriped fruits and nice bitter aftertaste. Heavy amber ale not so useful for any purposes.

Bottle from brewery, batch#53. Caramel, bread, nuts, resin on the nose. Dark brown amber, firm beige head. Taste of bread crust, some hints of toffee, lots of bitterness lasting long, hints of alcohol. Medium/full body, soft carbonation and good mouthfeel. Ok beer, look forward trying this with heavy christmas food.

Bottle from VP Storo enjoyed at home
Dark dark red, big creamy light tanned head. Smell of toffee, citrus, zest, spices and toasted malts. Moderate sweet, toasty, nice toffee, citrus and zest, faint chocolate. Medium bitter, alot of resins. Well balanced, very tasty.

larsga (6919) - Oslo, NORWAY - MAY 19, 2015
Big beige head. Deep brown body with lots of floaties. Resiny pineapple aroma with oily malty notes. Sweetish spicy resiny taste with floral roasty notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft, mealy mouthfeel. Can also feel some of the floaties, unfortunately. Dryish resiny tropical fruit aftertaste with dusty earthy roasty notes. Traces of pineapple, too. Without the pineapple this would be a great beer. As it is, it’s quite enjoyable. (0.5l bottle, from wine monopoly.)

Look; tan beige orange head with opaque red brown body, tight fine lacing all the way down, nice label on bottle. Aroma; red berries, fruits, roasted caramel, roasted malts, mint, anise, herbs, sweet liquorice note, dough, tart, syrup n raisin. Taste; roasted malts, dark caramel, liquorice, fruity berries, imperial hops, black chocolate, ashy peaches and coffee notes. Feel; well bodied and softly carbonated. Finish; green leafy hops, resin, sweet liquorice, cocoa. Overall; premium red excellent beer. Absolutely recommended! [50cl brown bottle, abv7%, ibu65, colour ebc 35, #26 BB11/2015, B@Vinmonopolet]

Bottle at tasting. Poured a clear black with a slight white head. Aromas were malt heavy. Other marked characteristics were front of tongue bitterness and a foamy sweet nuts taste/aroma. Intriguing

Johnny Low... eh... I mean Betty Brown... eh... Jimmy Red pours a cloudy deep amber body with a beige, long-lived head that ends up as a thin layer, and some remnants on the glass. Moderate aroma of surprisingly dark roasted notes, caramel, hints of generic fruits with some tropical traces, and pine needles. Moderate flavour that follows the aroma, but with even less tropical fruits and more coffee. Moderate sweet and moderate to heavy bitter taste. Nice and syrupy mouthfeel that goes well with the obvious sweetness, but a bit strange for the style? The malty focus of this one combined with the modest amount of hops makes this close to a failed BIPA. Disregarding my expectations for an amber ale, this is actually a nice brew.
