3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
500 ml swing cap bottle. Poured somewhere between iced tea brown and hazy apple cider deep amber under a large foamy light beige head. Aroma is solid and the best thing about this beer. Notes of apples, wet wheat, hint of rust, bad Bread and banana skins. The body is medium overall with very subtle carbonation that leads to a slightly flat feel. Favor isnt actually as good as the aroma and that isn’t saying much. Notes of wheat, apples, banana, wet bread, some yeast. Blah the first beer I tried from this brewery must have been their best since everything since then disappoints.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Hazy rusty amber with a medium pillowy head. Aroma is of nutty wheat with a touch of earthy caramel. Unfortunately the flavor is a bit bland with dry dusty earthy wheat and light malt sweetness.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
500 ml. bottle at Oliver’s BC for a price of $3.49. On the label appears to be a date code, yet it make no sense at all. Cloudy brown color small thin vanishing head. Nose is moderate caramel malt with light German yeast nuances. Hints of apples. Light banana, malted wheat and a light metallic tone in the flavor. As with this breweries original Hefeweizen, the body is thin and watery. Slightly dry texture. Perhaps a fresh draft sample in Germany would do this wonders but in the U.S.A, pass on this.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
It’s unclear dark brown with a creamy head. The mild aroma has notes of yeast, caramel and fruit. The sweet flavor has notes of caramel, yeast, fruit and light wheat, and the finish is slightly dry and spicy.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottled. Poured medium golden with a short off-white head. The aroma picked up cocoa, nutty notes and a hit of ripe banana with faint vinous and clovey accents. The flavor found grainy cocoa, nutty notes, and light biscuit at the core.. light wheat tartness, banana, and clove around.. finished dry and grainy. Lighter-bodied with moderate carbonation on the palate.. again dry and grainy.. ok overall.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Nice amber hazy appearance. Caramel and cookies in the nose. A bit thin and tart palate. Needs a little more going on. Not the best of the style.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Hazy orange brown color with thin off white lacing. Mild musky aroma like a basement with mild caramel notes. Palate is medium body with a light metallic note up front. The palate grows as it continues emphasizing those basement aspects as well as the caramel feel. Not the best dunkle weisse I’ve had yet solid overall.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Head is initially average sized, frothy/fizzy, off-white, mostly diminishing.
Body is hazy light brown.
Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (cookie, caramel), with notes of bubble gum, clove, and earth.
Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter.
Medium body, watery/syrupy texture, lively/fizzy carbonation.
Overly sweet and pretty simple in the nose, but overall this is easily the least offensive of the five Veldensteiner brews I’ve tried.
