3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Lightly hazy golden pour, with a faint ring of lace - a fairly straightforward, clean, crisp, and refreshing german lager - a bit grassy up front, followed by a moderate honey sweetness - then, the noble hops really kick in, and add a nice floral, and almost spicy dimension to the beer - a bit of grainy character in the finish, and lingering, peppery hops - quite refreshing - another underrated german lager - what a shock!

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Not enough here for me to write a paragraph: some straw and light sweetness with slight citrus in the aftertaste.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a slightly hazy pale yellow with huge amount of billowing froathy white head. Looks delicious. Aroma is sweet light malts and grass. Flavor is light and sweet, bit grassy. Perfect lawmower beer, which I had just done, so I thought this was perfect. But seriously, a very good lager/dortmunder balancing refreshment with character.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
500ml bottle. Pours a pale yellow body with a nice fizzy one inch bright white head. Some light delicate lacing. Very minimal aroma, just a slight hint of cooked veggies and zero hops. Very light in both flavor and body, watery and weak. This one from Veldensteiner just doesn’t do it for me. It really doesn’t taste any different than most US macro crap.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Nice slightly hazy golden coloured body with a frothy white head - tons of bubbles rise from the bottom as well, which makes for a nice look! Aroma of refreshing malt, citrus, yeast, wheat and some fresh cut grass. Medium-bodied; Very fruity citrus flavours roaming through this one with a bit of a floral essence and finishes with a clean malt - very nice. Aftertaste is crisp and refreshing, not much hops, but plenty of smooth malt. Overall, a nice and potent helles good for the summertime without doubt! I sampled this 500 mL swing-top bottle purchased from K&E Discount Beverage in New Paltz, New York on 26-April-2008.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Swing Top Bottle: Golden yellow and smelled like a beer. The flavor was light, somewhat hoppy and somewhat malty. It was almost too sweet. Reminded me of a typical German Lager, it was just alright.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle. Spicy hop, light malt. Pale lager, low off-white head. Light lager, ok dryness. Not fantastic.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Flipped the top and poured this straw-colored and lightly hazy brew with a thin but firm top. The aroma is very grainy and sweet. The beer drink with an unfortunate shallow body and a very light, buttery, almost smoky malt basis. Would’ve nicely accompanied a big gravied German meal of meat and potatoes. (#3106, 9/23/2007)
