checkmatei1 (222), Willow Grove, USA Apr 9, 2008 Swing Top Bottle: Golden yellow and smelled like a beer. The flavor was light, somewhat hoppy and somewhat malty. It was almost too sweet. Reminded me of a typical German Lager, it was just alright.
roder_60 (789), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 9, 2008 Pours a slightly hazy pale yellow with huge amount of billowing froathy white head. Looks delicious. Aroma is sweet light malts and grass. Flavor is light and sweet, bit grassy. Perfect lawmower beer, which I had just done, so I thought this was perfect. But seriously, a very good lager/dortmunder balancing refreshment with character. kramer17801 (1846), sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA May 30, 2008 500ml bottle. Pours a pale yellow body with a nice fizzy one inch bright white head. Some light delicate lacing. Very minimal aroma, just a slight hint of cooked veggies and zero hops. Very light in both flavor and body, watery and weak. This one from Veldensteiner just doesn’t do it for me. It really doesn’t taste any different than most US macro crap. jgb9348 (1793), Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA Apr 27, 2008 Nice slightly hazy golden coloured body with a frothy white head - tons of bubbles rise from the bottom as well, which makes for a nice look! Aroma of refreshing malt, citrus, yeast, wheat and some fresh cut grass. Medium-bodied; Very fruity citrus flavours roaming through this one with a bit of a floral essence and finishes with a clean malt - very nice. Aftertaste is crisp and refreshing, not much hops, but plenty of smooth malt. Overall, a nice and potent helles good for the summertime without doubt! I sampled this 500 mL swing-top bottle purchased from K&E Discount Beverage in New Paltz, New York on 26-April-2008. joss (3081), Garching b. München, Germany Mar 5, 2008 Bottle. Spicy hop, light malt. Pale lager, low off-white head. Light lager, ok dryness. Not fantastic.
