Bottle 50cl, a clear yellow beer with medium head. Nose is slightly vegetable like. Aroma is on dry malt, light toasted malt, sweet, good bitterness that gives a very feeling at the finish. Correct pilsener.

Shared by turdferguson. Pours a soft clean yellow with one finger of white head. Nose is meh, bready and kind of papery with some grassy notes and wet hay. Super bready flavor, like wet old bread. Not too crazy about this one.

Marko (4168) - Split / Zagreb, CROATIA - MAR 18, 2010
Bottle from some gas station in Fränkischen Schweiz I guess, shared with heavy and ogivlado, like most others today. Poured a shiny yellow body, small white head, good head retention. Vegetabley sweetish nose, light rice. Ugh. The taste, however manages to be completely different and actually bitter. Bitterish and hoppy, nice, slightly piney, going into the aftertaste. That’s all there is, one dimensional and simple but quite pleasant, better than most bottled pilseners that we had during the trip to Berlin.

Bottle. [Courtesy of Papsoe, another great tasting session] Small fizzy white head that mostly diminished. Clear flat looking body with a yellow color. Aroma of fresh grass, caramel, grain, light fruity and hint of cardboard. Light to medium bodied with a soft carbonation and light dry texture. Balanced light bitter and sweet flavor. Light dry and sweet finish. 27-07-07

Bottle. Super light (almost transparent) straw golden with a fast fading, pillowy white head. Nose is malty and mineral-like, with some mild lemon, sweet corn, and grassy notes. Flavor is similar, a bit of grass, some grainy malt, a bit of bitterness, some corn-like sweetness.

American Beer Distro ($4): Pours a pale gold with a head that is as good as a German pilsener typically has. Aroma of grassy German hops. Taste is somewhat bitter, but only as much as the style gets and even less so. There is a veritable malt backbone, as thin as it might be. Very German, refreshing and nice. Oh how I love pilseners.

(bottle - 500 ml fliptop) Clear yellow pour with no head and very light carbonation. Very light aroma. Almost nonexistent. Light sweet and grass notes, but that’s about it. Dry sweetness at the start of the flavor. Light and crisp with a mild hop bitterness at the middle leading toward the aftertaste. Smooth and very refreshing.

UPDATED: DEC 12, 2009 I felt like I needed to re-rate this given that my most recent experience with this beer was not all that good. Similar ceramic swing-top bottle as my initial rating. Pours a pale clear gold with a thin white head. There is a noticeable smell of sulphur in the aroma that is off-putting. It is not a heavy smell, but is most definitely there and gets in the way. The flavor is malt with some grassy hops, but the sulphur vapors continue to waft into the nose despite my efforts to ignore it. Mild bitterness at the finish.

500 ml ceramic flip-top bottle. Pours a slightly hazy gold with a dense white head that lasted through about half the glass. Pleasant aroma of malt, grass and hops. Flavor was again malt, grass and hops. Light bitterness at the finish. Solid beer. 7-3-7-3-14=3.4
