Good, nice smoky aroma and taste, without being overpowering. Smoke is a nice accent, not the preeminent flavor. Pours dark brown with thick beige head. Aroma is peat, oak barrel, burnt toast. Taste is same with mellow bitterness on the palate. Not the classic Bamberg variety, but a good smoked beer.

1ste smaak - water. 2de - bitter. 3de - zachte rook die versmeerd smaakt. Rare rook. Verbrand.
Dit kan geen rokerbier zijn. Water met een rook smaakje. Geen body.

500ml bottle. Aroma is sweet and malty. Appearance is brown with a very small head. Taste is sweet and light bitter. Has a thin mouth feel. Does not feel like a smoked beer. Overall a more or less OK beer.

Bottle shared with McTapps. Aroma of smoked salmon and unwashed socks. Crazy stuff and one more reason to never drink a smoked one again.

Well I drank this beer after I had a couple of others plus wine and thought that I sure could endure it when feeling little bit funny as smoked is the most awful style for me. This beer was even worse than expected and this should mean something. Taste of old smoked salmon and bad kaviar. Absolutely awful. I must admit that I got immediately sick.

16.10.12(Flasche):rot-braun, gleichmäßig trüb,cremefarbener Schaum,fest und beständig. Leicht und angenehm Schinken-rauchig, sonst schöne Brotaromen, leicht röstig. Der Geschmack ist unausgeglichen. Recht starke Bittere vermischt mit Röstigkeit und malznote. Vom Rauch ist hier nur sehr wenig zu finden. Recht vollmundig mit angenehmer Rezens.

Very dark amber colour, hazy, medium thick head which was quick to disappear but some lacing was retained. Aroma was smoked malt, smoke was there but not overbearing. Tasted hints of rasperry and oak, tasted sweeter than other smoked beers, smoke was present but ubderstated, well balanced. Texture was slightly thick, smooth texture, not much carbonation. Enjoyed it, nice to have a smoked beer without too much smoke.

Murky dark brown with red hue. Aroma , roast,milk, yogurt. Palate slick soft, carbonation soft mouthful
Taste malty sugary licorice. Finish sweet. Slight smoke flavor. over wise basic Dunkel with cardboard flavor. Decent but dull.

Swing top bottle. Murky brown color. Malt and fat smoked sausage in the aroma. Full bodied. Malty sweetish soft smoked flavor. Pear, pineapple and fat smoked sausage. Lovely!
