(GERMANY) Pale Yellow coler with Med-White head. There is a very strong Clove aroma with a hint of Banana. It’s a very lite tasting brew with a mild dry aftertase!!! Not bad, but average at best.

I really liked this beer. Very nice aroma of bananas. Great smooth taste with a really nice flavor. Not as phenolic as a lot of weissbier, but I like it nonetheless.

swing-top-bottle. Pale and cloudy beer, large and creamy head. Aroma of walnut and marzipan. Fruity and yeasty flavour, hints of nut and banana. A bit thin perhaps, but still a decent Hefeweizen.

Flip top bottle. Pours a cloudy pale gold with a massive white head. Aroma is mostly lemon with a bit of banana as well. Flavor is again mostly lemon with some banana and wheat noted as well. Lightly tart and quite refreshing actually. An enjoyable hefe.

Bottle. Hazy, yellow-orange pour with a large, off-white head and a good carbonation. The nose has banana and cloves and is quite fruity. Some hermetized pear is also present. Banana, yeast, cloves and some lemon and lime in the flavor. Some wheat as well. Medium, fizzy mouthfeel. It finishes with banana, some wheat and cloves, as well as some yeast. A really nice weiss-bier. Or maybe I just needed it then? It might disappoint me if I try it again, but it was nice at that moment. (070804)

Guess I should’ve checked the label on this before I bought it .. in German, says best before 26 Feb 05. Oops. Anyway, this poured a hazy orange-yellow with a creamy white head. The aroma is lemony, citrusy and hints at a creamy consistency. The flavors are fruity, lightly springy, like a banana-cream pie. OK ... I’ll use "creamy" a fourth time when I describe the mouthfeel. This has held up well despite its age ... maybe the frothy body is a result of the unintended cellaring? (#3099, 9/18/2007)

UPDATED: JUL 18, 2007 Bottle. Pours a golden orange with a creamy white head. Extreme aroma of bananas complimented with some yeast. Not one of my favorite hefes.

Creamy white head over a cloudy golden-hued body. Full aroma - wheaty, yeasty and bready. The flavor is well-balanced and filled with wheat and a hint of citrus. Quite tasty overall. Full body for a wheat beer, but a little thin and incomplete in the finish. Otherwise, quite good.

Very hazy yellow with an orange tint - frothy, lasting head - very lemony aroma, with touches of wheat and other grains, and very subdued banana and phenolics - quite light and crisp, with prickly carbonation - wheat, yeast and lemon dominate the rather subtle flavor, and the overpowering banana and clove I’ve come to expect from the style is not present at all, which is a very welcome change - light grain through the middle, finishing quite clean and dry, with just the slightest bit of spice lingering - nicely done.

The aroma has notes of wheat, banana, corn and yeast, and so does the flavour, where I find the typical sweetness. IMO the corn note disturbs the overall impression, so I’m not so fond of this one.
