Pours a dark and clody golden color. Head is large and white, lasting on top of the beer. Nose is fairly heavy with yeast, spices and malts. Taste is fairly dry with a long bittery finish. Carbonation is fairly lively. Served from a swing-top bottle which gave a nice loud pop when opened. Overall a nice wheat with a little stronger flavor.

Half-liter swing-top. Pours dark golden with all the classic brown undertones and a creamy bright white head. Nose has a sweetish, lightly herbal tang, as if it were made from sorghum and millet – strange, haven’t found that in any Weißbier before, only in the German organic offerings. Watery light body is smooth but crisp, strong slimy bubblegum and clove phenols and a hint of warming alcohol, graininess, raw wheat. Definitely unusual, but enjoyed.

Doughy banana nose, rich honey accents. Hazy amber, medium head, good lacing. Rich honey flavor with a lemony tang, hints of banana. Clean finish, no clove. Watery. Not very true to style, but quite nice.

50 cl flip-top bottle thanks to Patrik (not on ratebeer). Sampled on March 23, 2013.
Cloudy golden color, white head. Sweet, malty, banana scent. Banana, sweet taste, fresh. Spritzy mouthfeel, low bitterness.

Bottled. Poured hazy medium orange with a tall, well-retained off-white head. The aroma picked up sweet bananas, cloves, and detergenty notes over a doughy base.. just a touch meaty.. OK, but I didn’t love it. The flavor found banana meat, doughy notes, and a kiss of vanilla at the core.. tangy wheat and cloves laced throughout.. prickly carbonation and white pepper accented on the finish.. this grew on me. Medium-bodied and well-carbonated on the palate.. almost creamy on the middle.. overall well-balanced and tasty.

Pale yellow with a white head. Aroma is musty yeast with notes of banana. Flavor is very slight banana with light notes of malt. Clean finish, and easy to drink. Not the most notable hefe, but not bad.

Pours light amber, cloudy and with a large, fluffy weissbier head. The aroma is spicy with light apple. Sweetish, a little bit appley and a little bit yeasty. Finishes a bit sweet as well, perhaps witout the nuance I’d prefer.

Test vom 24.10.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 10,8,6,6,8,6 - 6,80

Bottle. Pours clear orange with a white head. Wheaty, yeasty, light fruity notes, banana, and a yeasty finish. Slightly above average carbonation. Pretty good.

Pours a cloudy golden orange color with straw yellow edges and a two finger frothy, pillowy white head that slowly settles into a lasting ring. Streaks and large spots of soapy lacing left behind. Spicy aroma with a prominent clove presence that’s countered by bready yeast, banana and citrus rind. The yeast character is really strong ith lots of bread and banana that overpowers the spice and orange peel notes. Medium bodied with soft carbonation and a zesty spice flavor that lingers over the yeast, banana and citrus notes into a slightly dry, tart finish. Strong clove presence up front that’s quickly countered by prominent bread and banana notes. Tart orange peel sweetness in the finish. Overall this is an average example of the style. It has all of the traditional characteristics but the bread/banana/yeast presence is too strong for my preference overpowering the other flavors.
