2.6 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
A good German beer. CO2 was throughout. I suggest drinking it when it is warmer versus cold out of the fridge.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Murky dark golden with a thin pillowy white head. Nose is grainy with some toasted white bread notes and a wee little bit of yeasty floral tones. Flavor is yeasty and cereal grainy, with lots of toast and lagery malt, and a funky low floral hop profile that mostly goes unnoticed.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Hazy amber. Fair, wispy creamy white head, lasting with lace. Aroma is fairly sweet, honey, grass, straw, caramel. Flavor follows. Watery. Lighter medium body, moderate sweetness, slight bitterness, nicely balanced and thirst quenching. Had with afternoon snack of sharp cheddar and summer sausage on a sticky Saturday in June.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
strong malt, honey, a little citrus perhaps. wet and dry at the same time. A little straw, wheat. A fairly muted taste, a little watery. However, clean and crisp. Wheat, citrus.
But I’ve never had a Zwickel before, and don’t know much about it, so I’m not sure if this is common.
A decent, very drinkable light beer though, nice for a sticky summer day.
