Top note resembles a good German beer with good German hops. Amber appearance. Slight head. Middle palate with more body than Kardashian. Finish with that subconscious sourness you find in a Guiness but can’t put your finger on. Poured from the flip top. I’ll be buying this again.

from beerangel.de - hazy orange colour with a persistent white foam; correct lacing; solid flowery hoppiness with notes of dust and peanuts; full-bodied and with a rounded palate, very tasty, fairly bitter and with a long malty and aromatic hoppy finish - a beautiful beer

UPDATED: JAN 29, 2008 Bottled at Monk’s Café, Stockholm. Hazy golden, rich head. Plenty of hay-like hops up front. Medium dry with firm, soft mouthfeel. A wealth of oily, grassy, spicy hops spreads warmth and a pleasant strong bitterness. A near perfect quencher.

Draft. Pours amber with an off white head. Pale malty, clean and crisp, lightly toasted bread, light floral and earthy hops, but low bitterness overall. Balanced throughout and very good.

500 ml flip top bottle. Pours hazy golden-orange with a long lasting, tall, foamy, white head. Aroma is of grassy hops and bready malt. Body is medium and smooth. Bready malt, caramel, herbal, grassy hops and hints of honey fill the mouth. Finish is long and slightly sweet. Delicious session beer.

Swing top from Port Ewen rip and run. Pours a nice burnt umber with at thin tan head. Nose of malts, malt and malt along with some socks. Body is medium plus. head is minimal. No hop...as expected. Balanced and enjoyable. Malts are on the crunchy side (not too sweet). finish lingers.

Bottled from Aachen. Hazy orange amber colour with gigantic white head. Very complex nose of wood, hay and fresh malts. Aroma is hay, with rye grain and soft chocolate malts. Flavour is very nicely composed soft caramel malts with grassy hops. Goes down swiftly. Very nice!

Test vom 16.11.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 8,12,12,11,9,12

Sweet little keg that Sam’s Quik Stop apparently got for less than they were supposed to, so it was only $12.99... not bad for 10 pints worth. Pours a tan-tinted hazy golden with a creamy white head. Nose of fresh country bread, some mild floral hop notes, and creamy caramel. The malt comes forward more in the taste, including some corn and grain, but it’s still quite a refreshing beer with a delicate lemony note on the finish as well as a mild bitterness. Light palate. Simple and beautiful. I think I’ll go buy a few more kegs.
