3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a nice dark with medium head that dissipates after a while. Aroma is alcoholic with a red wine feel to it. Taste is much better with a chocolate, coffee feel to it, but no real aftertaste. This makes it very drinkable especially for a hot day in the summer.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle at Caffe Bar Trapula, Sibenik. It pours dark brown with a thick beige head. The nose is roasted malt, caramel, cola, brown bread and fruit cake. The taste is roasty, cocoa, toast, earth, caramel, touch of alcohol, brown sugar and decent bitterness with a dry, roasty finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Rather drinkable. A solid beer all in all.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
This beer was known as one of the first Croatian microbrewery products, produced in a small brewery in a town of Pazarište, near Gospić in Croatian mountain region, famous for its clear spring water, which is also used in production of this brew. It was considered as one of the best Croatian beers, due to the fact it wasn’t pasteurized and produced in small amounts, being also rare and hard to find until fairly recently. Quality of this beer fell with use of additives for preservation so now it tastes more similar to macro Dunkels. Nevertheless, it is still good. I’ve had it many times since 2005, but I’m only rating it now.
Pours dark brown with orange tint and quickly diminishing beige head. Weak aroma of malts and nuts, you won’t notice it if the beer is to cold. Medium body, but a full malty taste, not many hops here, low carbonation, well balanced. Ends with a dry finish. Highly recommended.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Dark brown with a poor head. Caramel, cocoa, vanilla and some coffee in the aroma. Tastes a bit like a Czech dunkel but has the dryness of a schwarzbier. Medium bitterness, aftertaste of vanilla and coffee. Too well attenuated, hence alcoholic. Because of the astringency in the finish, the beer became a bit tiresome after the first half. Unfortunately, since it’s got potential.
