Aroma gives you grassy maybe lemon at some pints too. Taste is similar but with bready kind of malt coming trough at times, a bit different.

500 ml can, bright yellow color, with a frothy white head, leaving laces, fresh straw, floral hops, pale malt aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a crisp grassy character, flowery hops accent, vanilla note, leading towards a sweet and lingering hop bitter finish.

No. 225. Bottled. A very clear, pretty golden with an enthusiastic level of carbonation and a quickly diminishing head. Smells of hops and sweet malt. Sweet floral malt beginning and an only slightly bitter finish. Balanced taste with a pleasant, creamy, soft mouthfeel. This is a really nice one - and probably more likely to score converts than a Jever.

I gave it middle of the road marks for all categories. It’s a basic pilsener, nothing outstanding or particularly good, but also no real faults. Nice and crisp, but maybe not crisp enough to make it a good beer. Just an ok beer. Probably the cheap beer in areas of the world that aren’t overrun with the likes of bud and coors.

It’s pretty sad to see the numbers that this well-made, bottle conditoned pils gets.
Best before 3/15/06 bottle consumed on 2/22/06. Plenty of frothy, white head, both lacing and retained well. Gold body with lemon skin and light amber tinges, high clarity, though there is some sediment on the bottom of the bottle. Lemon in the nose, almost a lemon oil with lightly sweet, bready sponge cake and a touch of butter. Soft and sweet almondine-like maltiness combines with herbs and zesty lemongrass to provide a very proper balance. Full, initially, in the mouth, with a lemon and light buttered-rice crispiness dabbled in honey. Light hop bitterness graces the back of the throat quickly, while a low carbonation (relative to style) allows the malt to really set in. A vanilla iced cream with soft flowery hops. Crisp, moderate yeast bite on the finish as well. Smooth carbonation, very light creaminess for a texture thanks to all of the pils malt. No alcohol apparency. It’s biggest fault being that it tends a little bit much to the sweet side, bit too cakey-sugary for a German pils. But I can’t deny the quality of ingredients, and I get no DMS or any quick lagering notes.

Pours a nice golden color with a small head. Mild citrus aroma. Flavor is rather weak, reminding me of a typical mexican beer.

UPDATED: JUN 12, 2006 Can 500 ml Pale and sparkling clear yellow color with a big, white, creamy head.It diminishes for about 2-3 minutes and leaves a pretty lacing. Fine and soft malty/hoppy aroma with nice grainy notes and some nice citrus and earthy hints complemented by touches of herbs. Flavor is wonderful for such a light beer. It starts sweet with cereal tones but a bittersweet layer overcomes towards the end. Very "Pilsener", reasonably dry with a bit of a metallic finish (probably from the can). High carbonation, alcohol is present but in a nice way. Hoppy aftertaste. Good beer with plenty of character. Refreshing summer beer. I would love to taste this from tap.
