A very enjoyable German Pilsner. I have learned not to put much emphasis on numerical rating, although I do assign scores to beers. Anyhow, I enjoyed this one. A nice little beer.

Nice Pils. Light yellow color with a huge white head. German version has an almost floral taste (like Budvar) but the U.S. version is a bit off. This rating’s for the German version.

Better hop character than the standard Northn German pils. Almost an American micro pilsner in taste? If it was what the restaurant had, I would be pleased to order a liter.

A very clean pilsner with golen color. Nice maltiness balanced by good hops. Slightly dry in the finish.

On tap in some pub in Zulpicher Strasse. I love Veltins, it is smooth and insistently tasty, with a flavour that creeps towards bitterness and keeps you hooked. Crisp, and tasty - balanced I'll say.

On Tap at the Alexandra, Derby 12/12/2006 Floral aroma. Clear golden coloured and hoppy with a crisp and dry full malt finish.

UPDATED: FEB 15, 2006 This is a great pilsner. It pours golden with a decent head. Tastes great and goes down easy. It’s too complex, but worth a try.

Keg at The Connie, Burbahzhe, 21/02/12. Brilliant gold, draped white head. Outstanding fresh mown grass and honey aroma. Flavour a notch less shrubby and grass-sodden but still astonishingly clean with ringing, honey, grass and biscuit notes. Left me thirsting for another.
