marchcow (482), Coralville, Iowa, USA Dec 5, 2007 Imported via suitcase from Turkey. Sweet malty corn flavors and skunk aroma. Slightly watery. No skunk in the flavors. This batch was not really good but drinkable. Would be ok on the beach at Patara on a hot day.
General_Gao (2434), Iowa City, Iowa, USA Dec 6, 2007 Bottle. Brought to tasting by marchcow. Thanks for sharing. My second Turkish beer. Poured a clear pale golden color. Tattered white head left some lace behind. Distinctly skunky aroma with a hint of noble hops. Watery and slightly sweet with a pinch of salt. Tasted of watered down cereal grain and skunky hops. If they were hoping to emulate Grolsch or Heineken, they did a pretty good job. heemer77 (3632), Savannah, Missouri, USA Dec 5, 2007 Thanks for sharing a bottle, marchcow. The body was bright yellow. The aroma was slight skunk with some grass. Pretty plain all around. The taste was light bologna with some carrots. Not bad, but far form exciting, but hey, I did not expect anything different. iowaherkeye (1374), rocking podunk Marengo!, Iowa, USA Dec 4, 2007 750mL bottle, best by 06.05.08, thanks to John marchcow for the sample. Clear pale yellow with a small, white head, low retention. Aroma does have some skunk up front with some grain and vegetal notes, and very very faint floral hops. Only a hiint of skunk in the flavor, but some old corn and grain take over to the lightly sweet finish. Low carbonation with a thin body. Not the star of the night, but did get points (figuratively) for rarity. omhper (10393), Stockholm, Sweden Nov 16, 2007 Canned (3.5%). Pale yellow, minimal head. Aroma of sour apricot and garbage. Sweet, thin and fruity. Sharp mouthfeel.Despite the complete lack of substance smoke, blood, metal and aniseed battle with garbage for attention. The sink looses and gets the remainder of the can...
