Crystal clear dark copper body with an off-white head that starts out rather small, but it’s very long-lived and settles as a thin layer. Malty and quite strong aroma of dark dried fruits and sweet dark caramel. It’s lightly roasted, somewhat nutty and there are vague hints of citrus/orange in the far back. Strong and complex flavour of dark dried fruits, mainly raisin, dark caramel, brown sugar, nuts and faint vanilla. Moderate sweet taste with a moderate to light bitter rather long-lasting finish. Pleasant mouthfeel, the body is close to full, the texture is oily and the carbonation is soft. A sweet, powerful and tasty beer!
[50 cl bottle as Anton Nordsøen, enjoyed 7 months before BB date, from the gift shop at Nordsøen Oceanarium, Hirtshals, Jylland, Denmark]

---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
