Flavor is fairly dull. Thought there is a sweet explosion up front, the finish is thin and fusel-y and mostly unrefined. Unlike other ice ciders, this one shines in large drinks rather than small sips. Not the best. robinvboyer (1428), Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, Canada
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Oct 14, 2007 lovely aroma of apples, and honey, with a tinge of lemon. Flavour is very bright, it’s obviously big on apples, and a wicked honey backdrop. MOuthfeel is thick, and coats very nicely. Very warming, and very drinkable, not the best i’ve had, but close. Excellent cider. TheCheeseMan (538), Saint Cloud, Florida, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 29, 2007 Very warming lightly orange hued color, huge legs as I swirl the glass. Very sweet apples on the nose initially, the seem to yield slightly to some spiciness. I detect some floral notes, but only distantly. Flavor is very nice, sweet rich, slightly spicy, warming alcohol. I could have used a touch more acidity, but this is yet another great cider from Quebec. boboski (1095), Alabama, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 27, 2007 Deep, soft, melting golden pour. Incredibly high visible density results in very thick, super-slowly forming legs that barely succeed in a trickle down to the liquid from which they originated. Moderate, firey residual sugars with a soft white pepper hint waft from a nose of sticky apple nectar. Light caramel and spicy mineralic tinting add complexity. Appleskin notes, along with cherry and orange blossom waters highlight subtle complexities. A cinnamon-based, diluted, spicy potpourri-inflected offshoot of the nose lingers after each inhalation. Alcohol is only moderately apparent. What would seem average at first glance does have admirable variances and obvious craftsmanship behind it. The flavor is tremendous! A step up/forward, in the right direction. A twist of classic intersects with new spice excitement to create something that will endure with a fervor for at least a short while in the catacoms of memory. Sweetness is very high -not cloying, but quenching and complex, with toppling acidity that keeps appleskins vibrant and tartness from fleeting. The finish is sweet, fruity and highly acidic, but settles down and fades very, very slowly. There is a bit too much warmth going down, ouch. Other than excessive ethanol in the finale, this stuff is great. The mouthfeel is syrupy without feeling cloying or too sugary, gets stuck in the back of the mouth and drips down the throat due to an incredibly tightly woven molecular structure and consistency unrivaled in this category of beverage. Very full bodied, smooth and lightly prickly. I love me some ice cider. Boutip (2347), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 2, 2007 Bottle: Poured a bright yellow color ice cider with an aroma of sweet apple. Taste is quiet sweet even for ice cider and maybe a tad too much for my liking even though I still enjoyed this cider. No tart or dryness was noticeable. Body is quite heavy even for the style. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 12, 2006 Quite richer than the Crémant de Glace, du Minot’s ice cider reveals plump floral aromas that precede the pinneaple and apple pie concentration. Slightly exotic ventures show their nose at times. Classy offering with moments of complexity, but no particularly transcendent moments. A fair balancing acidity ensures tolerable drinkability to this medium-to-heavy weight body in the world of ice ciders. TaktikMTL (2771), Montréal-Nord, Quebec, Canada
