Draught @ Granite brewpub in Halifax. Very pale, cheap 10k gold color. Simplistic cider aromas with lots of sulphite. Sticky, sweet, and gassy. Thin, boring, with apple juice middle and a sticky finish. Not much better than strongbow et al.

On tap, Ginger’s Tavern. Pale green-yellow. Slightly sulphury apple nose is fairly nondescript. Soft, fairly sweet but with some tartness in the finish. A meh sort of cider.

341 ml bottle from HogTownHarry; my main cider guy; Nose of tartness and slightly sweet apples; translucent pale gold with a nice bubbly white head; flavor is tart, green appleswith only a tiny hint of sweetness and a little white pepperiness; finish is a slight tart note.

Draught. Smells of apple and wine, with a sparkling pale gold color and no head. Flavor starts lightly sweet and moderately acidic, and finishes heavily acidic and lightly bitter. High in effervescence, light bodied with a nice dry finish. First cider rating, wasn’t too bad.

Robe blonde paille très pâle aux reflets verdâtres très claire surmontée d’une mousse blanche épaisse qui s’estompe. Arômes de jus de pommes sucrées. Saveurs acides de pommes sucrées.

Drank on tap. Clear light yellow poor with no head and lightly effervescent. Green apples... acid aromas, very light and subtil. Lightly sweetened taste with a nice even acid twist. Good blend of McIntosh apples, green apples and notes of honey. Very light and refreshing.

At a restaurant in Québec City, decanted into a carafe - I assume it was from a bottle. Very pale gold with zero head, no bubbles either. Nice dry aroma - slightly tart apple, sugar, a nice dustiness to prevent it from being cloying. Taste was refreshing, but pretty standard - fresh apples, sweet, a little tartness and a hint of alcohol - it finished almost candy-sweet as it warmed, but still hit the spot. Very thin body, only moderate carbonation even for a "real" cider, crisp and no aftertaste.

Pours light side of gold. Light carbonation present. Aromas are, quele suprise, apples, butter and sugar melting in a fryer. Taste is apples (faux) with a buttery, caramel-esque finish. SLightly cloying. Nothing mystique about this one.
