CapFlu (3242), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada Jul 17, 2006 (375ml bottle) A present from MartinT’s wedding, many thanks married-boy! Pours a thick, deep orange body with light sediment and an oily body. The legs are slow like maple syrup... and the flavour indicates some maple as well. High alcohol though the burn isn’t bad. MartinT (4241), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Jul 3, 2005 Updated: Feb 14, 2007Very interesting concept here, a cider which is first iced, to then be boosted with alcohol to become what we call a mistelle...The result is a very strong product of course, but one which works quite well...Caramel apples burst out from the darker-than-usual robe made of bronze and gold, and proffer a very gentle and soothing sweetness which casually takes over the whole palate to later fall into a tame aftertaste...Orange pulp illusions and dried apricots avoid the sweetness from getting cloying, as the addition of alcohol gives warming and sometimes burning heat...Full-bodied, but not decadent, far from being complex, but a satistying dessert nonetheless...
