Thanks to tom10101 for this one! 5 cl. bottle, waxed (haha) split post-ZBF 2014 train ride with Kraddel & ST247. Looks like a light golden lemonade, some bubbles here, probably due to vigorous transportation. Smells of very sweet apple juice, applesauce, huge fructose, this one is a bit more basic, white sugar it seems. Huge thick applesauce, apple juice taste, light on spices, minor boozy warmth, touch thicker juice feel to it, slightly oily. This one seems a bit like more basic / white sugar sweet. Still, crazily delicious stuff.

Bottle (50 ml). Thanks to mathieuc for this one. Bright golden color. Aroma of apples, alcohol, light spices, caramel, tropical fruits and sweetness. Taste is moderately sweet with apples, caramel, fruity notes and a warming alcohol/spices finish. Medium body. Sirupy and almost liquorous mouthfeel. A tad hot and not as complex as the best from the style, but still a very good one.

Pours a clear copper, like a good apple juice really. Aroma is of apples (duh) and brown shugga. Taste is sweet and a little tart, but unbalanced toward the sweetness unfortunately. Flavors of apple pie, fresh red delicious. Mouthfeel is lightly syrupy and it is completly still (as expected). This was a nice way to end supper but not too complex.

pours clear golden, shy legs. sweet and buttered fresh red apples, caramelized and baked apples, spices, almost hot spices, apple crumble more than apple pie. medium body - oily and silky, hint of tartness, sweet and spicy finish. relatively linear but nicely crafted - oomph MIA.

Aroma : Caramel and some alcohol. Some acidity. Light overcooked apples. Light tropical fruits. A bit muted overall.
Taste : Light tropical fruits. Quite sweet with caramel. Nice finish.
Overall : Taste much better than nose. Taste is a bit heavy. Good one but nothing very special.

Pouring at Le Mondial des Cidres Glaces. Pours a clear golden yellow. Soft pie and apples on the nose. Bright but thin, a touch young and harsh. There’s a bit of an chemical acid note as well. Tart lingering finish.

The aroma has definitely an apple pie feeling to me, there’s also an alcohol presence in there. The flavor is sweet with apples I expect to find in an apple pie, the alcohol is’nt as much present in the flavor as in the aroma, but this isn’t an especially complex ice cider either. It’s interesting, but probably not worth another try.
