Argonian (280) - Athens, GREECE - SEP 15, 2013
Bottle. Pours a dark red body, with an average light brown head that diminishes quickly, but leaves a good lace. Heavy caramel aroma, with a heavy sweet and caramel taste, very sweet, also notes of roasted malts. Pretty sticky, medium bodied, Average carbonation. I can assume that this is very sweet for some, but I enjoyed it nevertheless. An unexpectedly good one.

Douberd (3062) - Arnhem, NETHERLANDS - JUL 21, 2013
Bottle, 330 ml, at home. Poured into a tulip glass. ABV 5.8% Bright red caramel colour on the body. Head is just a bit taller than one finger, off-white in colour, with average retention and it leaves light lacing as it collapses. Aroma of malts but not heavy, caramel, a bit of strawberry juice (?). Taste follows the aroma, quite a bit of caramel, then (heavier now) malts flavour on the aftertaste, along with a good bitterness with medium duration. Medium thin body, a bit too much carbonation. Overall a decent beer, a good alternative to the wider available lagers of the greek market.

On tap at BeerArt by Ouraniskos, Thessaloniki: dark amber colour with small white head. Aromas of bread, grass, floral (on the first try the aromas were like that of blood!).
