50cl bottle from carrefour between , rhodes city and faliraki, rhodes, greece. (was almost no bottles left) clear red brown, offwhite smooth thick head. aroma of caramel and toffee. flavor is toffee, dark caramel, subdued hops, hops however play a large role to hit this one home - they balnce the beer very well indeed. this is the second very well brewed and well tasting beer i’ve had from macedonian thrace brewery - when they want to, they do make a good beer.

SarkyNorthener (1740) - Walsall (Yorkshire Expat), West Midlands, ENGLAND - OCT 1, 2013
Bottle from National Brewer Centre, Burton. Red mahogany beer with medium head and low rise lacing. Looks very attractive. Aroma is malts, caramel and some cherry drops. Taste is sweet malts, caramel, fruity and some mild bitter hops. Medium to light bodied and a little chewy. This is a good Vienna, one of the best Greek beers I have had.

Scopey (6321) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 3, 2011
Keg at Beer Time, Athens. It pours red-amber, with a thin white head. The nose is strawberry, raspberry, metal and caramel wafer. The taste is fruity red berry, red grapefruit, caramel and metal. Medium body and moderate carbonation. I thought this was pretty tasty and well balanced.

(Bottle 33 cl) Clear, deep amber coloured with an almost absent, beige head. Very marked caramel aroma. Soft notes of roasted- and caramel malt. Not really sweet though, more dry with a fine, short bitterness. What a lovely Greek surprise. 020805

Geiserich (3308) - Vienna, AUSTRIA - MAY 30, 2006
Bottled: Intensive malty aroma with notes of caramel. Light alcohol note, medium sweetness. Amber to pink color, brownish head. Soft, velvety texture, flavor of roasted malt, caramel and a hint of alcohol. Light lemonade touch in the end and a bit thin. Bitter finish, notes of metal and roasted malt. My first good beer from greek.

Argonian (266) - Athens, GREECE - SEP 15, 2013
Bottle. Pours a dark red body, with an average light brown head that diminishes quickly, but leaves a good lace. Heavy caramel aroma, with a heavy sweet and caramel taste, very sweet, also notes of roasted malts. Pretty sticky, medium bodied, Average carbonation. I can assume that this is very sweet for some, but I enjoyed it nevertheless. An unexpectedly good one.
