Clear light to medium yellow color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, white to off-white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, grain, toasted, cardboard, honey notes. Bottled. A hazy golden beer with a lazing off-white head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, and straw. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and straw, leading to a bitter finish. Thanks fiulijn for sharing.

(Bottle 50 cl) The writing in Greek on the label of my original version reads something pretty similar to "Beptina". Anyways, pilsener golden, small white head. Malty nose. Light malty body, some malt-sweetness - and then nothing. OK standard lager. 180705

Canned, thanks Nightfall! Clear pale golden, creamy head. Grassy nose. Dry, yet creamy with grassy hops covering light grainy malt. Fairly light bodied with some late bitterness. A refreshing pale lager.

Hazy blond color. It has a light cereals aroma, and light cereals flavor too, with light citrusy touch; but some of this is probably due to the age. Poor.

Draught @ Beer Time, Athens. Straw colour with slight carbo and 3cm of loose head. The aroma is a bit fruity and grassy. It has some biscuity notes, and vague pale bread stuff as well. Not much bitterness.

330 ml bottle BB 060608. Cap had the BEPΓINA, but the bottle had Vergina. Golden color with a filmy white head. Fresh floral/grassy hop aromas. Near medium body with near creamy carbonation. Flavor seems rather citrus hop over pale malt. A little grassiness is noticeable in the finish. Lemongrass hop? Certainly rather different type of lager. Note from the web: BEPΓINA means Vergina, and that’s a small town in Macedonia. More: The Vergina Sun, Star of Vergina or Argead Star is the name given to a symbol of a stylised star or sun with sixteen rays. It was unearthed in 1977 during archaeological excavations in Vergina, in the northern Greek province of Macedonia, by Professor Manolis Andronikos. He discovered it on a golden larnax in the tombs of the kings of the ancient kingdom of Macedon.
