Can drank on the street on the island of Aegina, Greece. Pours clear, pale yellow with a white fluff head. Sugary cereal and grain in the aroma, some cheap bread. Light-medium sweet flavor with more sugary grains, faint hay, the slightest hints of paper. Light bodied with average carbonation. Light floral hops to finish with more cereal and bread. Low bitterness. Simple, sugary pale lager. Not crisp enough.

A buddy of mine introduced me this beer in a greek bar. Pretty much I ordered this beer because of the name. We had a great time with the "vergina"! I even stuck my finger in a vergina... Tastes regular but the name is the bomb!

Had a few bottles of this at a Greek fest. Tasted great on a hot day. Can’t recall anything else about it. Want to try this beer again but can’t find it anywhere.

Nice golden fizzy lager with some grassy and light malty aromas, a slightly sweet and highly carbonated sip ending with a metallic finish. As lagers go, I can certainly appreciate this. Definitely worth a try.

can. Clear pale yellow colour, large white head. Malty and grainy nose. Light-bodied, grainy and malty with some nice hoppy flavours, resiny and with hints of herbs. Inoffensive, ideal to accompany Greek food.

Bottled. A hazy golden beer with a lazing off-white head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, and straw. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and straw, leading to a bitter finish. Thanks fiulijn for sharing.

Canned, thanks Nightfall! Clear pale golden, creamy head. Grassy nose. Dry, yet creamy with grassy hops covering light grainy malt. Fairly light bodied with some late bitterness. A refreshing pale lager.

33cl Bottle from a deli on Syros, Greece, as Vergina Lager Beer. Clear golden colour, white head. Aroma is sweet, bread, malts, caramel, honey. Flavour is light sweet, pale malts, light floral, some lemon, light bitter finish. Decent lager imo. Light bodied.

Klar lys brun med hvitt skum. Honning, malt og kornlukt. Maltsmaken er god, noe sitrus. Medium kullsyre, lite bitter.

UPDATED: JUN 17, 2005 Finally the notorious Vergina beer, which looks totally different in the greek alphabet. Just okay, but again, wheatish tasting, with a bitter bite, refreshing. But celebrations about finally arriving at Corfu (drank this on the Igomentisa to Corfu ferry), made it merrier.
