Bottle @ Trollenkelder Gent. Dark brown with a lacy beige head. Aroma is milk chocolate and some roast. Pretty sweet. Lots of chocolate. Not bad but not much besides chocolate!

bottle @ Grassroots Natural Market / Jacksonville FL --- Opaque black with a full brown head, heavy streamers of lace. Solid aroma of toasted malt. Taste is toasted malt that adds dark candied fruit on the swallow, becoming somewhat tart entering the finish, closing with mild smooth hops. A little alcohol warmth is in the throat. A reasonable stout, but not one of the best.

Draft at Eulogy. Black pour with a white head that completely disappears but leaves some nice lace. Sweet dark fruit. Balsamic vinegar. Dates. Raisins. Figs. Dried cherries and blueberries. Truffles. Body is fairly thin. Does not feel like an Imperial Stout at all. High ABV is well hidden. Not really my style.

packs a punch. Lends notes of a belgian strong ale, russian imprial stout but not completely either. A good winder beer.

StilleStorm (986) - Stavanger, NORWAY - FEB 20, 2015
DAA; Bottle 33cl. Pours black with a large, creamy, lacing, lasting tan head. Aroma is lots of roasted malt and sweet bread, some dark fruit, yeast, light sour and spice. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a lasting roasted, spice finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is lively. Strange as a stout, good as a beer.

(Bottle, Delirium Café, Brussels, 25 Oct 2014) Black colour with dense, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of caramel, dark fruit, raisins and dark bread. Malty, roasted taste with caramel, dark fruit, raisins, prunes, dark bread and a generous spicy bitterness in the finish. Almost full body, fairly sweet. On the sweet side, but quite tasty. Nice one.

Piana drobna, miejscami średniopęcherzykowa. Kolor czarny, nieprzejrzyste. W aromacie wyczuwalne śliwki. Dość rześkie, świeże. Lekki winne nuty. W smaku wytrawne. Smak wytrawnego likieru. Znów pojawiają się śliwki i gorzka czekolada. Skojarzenie z pralinkami jest wyraźne. Lekko kwaskowe, wyczuwalne ciemne słody. Alkohol dobrze zamaskowany. Lekko lepkie odczucie w ustach. Mimo tej mocy i stylu piwo jest dość rześkie i wytrawne. Może trochę brakuje mu ciała. Ogólnie fajny, wytrawny imperial stout, ale trafiały się lepsze.

Black pour with a little white cap of head. Very sweet taste of prunes with a medium Belgium finish.

33cl bottle served in a snifter. Pours a dark brown colour with a fairly bubbly off white head which turns to localized areas of carbonation. Aroma is coffee and earthy notes. Taste is foremost redcurrant like tartness with maybe some sour cherries in the mix too which then turns to dark chocolate and coffee notes. Really quite complex and a victim of the style. This is really quite an enjoyable beer but in the company of other imperial stouts it really is a little over-carbonated and an odd combination of flavours. Worth trying if you keep your mind open.
