Bottle at home. Chestnut brown with a thin white head. Fresh, crisp, bitter burnt caramel aroma. Palate is very much like an English ale with the slight sweetness being overtaken by an assertive hoppiness. The background flavour is of burnt caramel which blends nicely with the hops. Robust ale.

ClubGonzo (3509) - Bergen, NORWAY - MAY 24, 2013
Bottle from Beer Planet, Brussels. Pours a clear amber body with a small white head. Nose is sweet caramel, candi sugars, cellar must and hints of alcohol. A bit strange. Taste is sweet syrupy caramel malt tones, hints of grass and not much else. Despite the apparent simplicity it actually kinda works. Medium body, lively carbonation. Fair enough, but far from great.

MoritzF (8250) - Bochum, GERMANY - NOV 19, 2012
(bottle, 33cl, 8.0% abv) Clear, amber colour with a big and dense tanned foamy head. Berry-fruity and mildly toasted malty aroma with notes of caramel and a whiff of alcohol shining through. Sweet flavour, medium to full bodied with a moderate carbonation. Toast-malty and slightly sugary taste with caramel and present fruity notes; sweet malty, mildly fruity and slick finish. Rather mediocre. 27.X.12

Bottle, at Risras. It pours a clear, dark amber body under a dense, finger-thick, beige head. The aroma has toffee, prunes and some dark sugar, pleasant but a bit boring. It’s soft on the palate, semi dry and full-bodied, with flavors of toffee, figs and prunes dominating the flavour. Some bitterness that lasts for a good time. Dried fruits too in the finish. A quite pleasant one, but there’s nothing extraordinary going on. 121111

Swaroga (1108) - Brussels, BELGIUM - OCT 30, 2012
33cl bottle. Red wood color with small white head. Nose : red fruits with burned toast, cooked cherries and strong tart. Sip : medium body with oily and creamy texture, low to medium carbonation. Sweet with strong tart and cooked cherries flavor. Slightly spicy with bubblegum feeling. Aftertaste confirms that this beer is all about cooked cherries and tart.
