3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Clear orange coloured with a small off white head.
Acidic aroma of wood, glue and red wine.
Flavour of glue, wood, fruits and red wine.
Funny, but not my favorite flemish sour ale.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: OCT 16, 2005 (Bottled) Dark amber color with a sparkling look and a tight, small head with hints of lace. Sweetish, malty, fruity and tart aroma. Caramely-malty, but also quite vinegary-tart and fruity flavor. Medium-bodied, sticky-sugary, fizzy-carbonated palate. Basically a quite pleasant sour ale, but with too much sugar to be truly enjoyable.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
(Bottle 25 cl) Remember having this for the first time on tap on a hot summer’s day in Lier, where it’s the local beer. Dark golden with a nice head. Presumably filtered. Some wooden notes, with touches of roasted malt showing through. Sweet’ n’ sour with emphasis lying on the sweet side. 120697

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottled. A reddy brown coloured beer which is quite flat looking. The aroma has some tart raspberry fruity together with some woodiness. The taste has some fusty old woody notes together with some sour fruit. Quite middle ranged for a Flemish Sour in that the sourness is not so pronounced, but still a nice beer.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Beautiful copper color; huge creamy head; nice perlage. Cellary vinegar nose. Very sweet, malty, with the typical sourness. Not as complex as my favorite Duchesse de Bourgogne, but delicious!

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottled. Hazy amber. Aroma of acidic grape juice. Dry and lightly balsamic. Citric acidity that is balanced by toffee and saccharine sweetness. More fresh and intense than complex, but I love this beer!
