Aroma is ultra sweet malts, sour apple and cherry. Taste is sweet sour cherry, some caramel, vinegar, and a less that desirable aftertaste that takes away from an otherwise very good beer.

Ourageous beer. Poured a thick tan head that produced some pretty good rope-like lacing. Head outlasted the beer. Dark garnet in colour. Aroma is an awesome combination of yeast, red wine vinegar, apples, peaches, plums.....and I’ll also add that there may be a dry dusty scent too. Taste is excelent. It seems to cleanse the mouth and throat every sip. Really sour, tangy, cherries, yeast and very dry, which is odd because I’m drooling. Excellent deep chest burn! Definetly red wine characteristics here (reminding me of a Nouveau Boujolais). Mouthfeel is unlike anything else I’ve ever had. Very slick. Dries the mouth temporarily, a decent ammount of carbonation that is very fine on the re-swish. The affect on my tongue is similar to sticking a 9 volt battery on it (try it out!). Has a mouth-smacking hard dry and tart finish that fades to a lengthy dryness. Chest still burns! Amazingly easy to consume. One of the best 4 or 5 beers I’ve ever had period. In a category all on its own. This is a must try for anyone. I’m going to get more for pure pleasure and cellaring. 5 Chernobal thumbs up!

Reddish-brown, almost mahogany color with a nice beige head, slightly rocky, disappears fairly quickly. Aroma of apples, spices. Cloves? Taste is a nice balance of sour with some sweetness. Somewhat cider-like, but also a very "winey" beer. Alcohol barely noticeable. Love this beer! One of my favorites.

A clear red colour. Interesting aroma of sweet fermentet fruit. Taste of cherries and sugar. The sweetnes is copansated by the refreshing sournes. Could maybe have a stronger palate. A very intresting and tasty beer.

An "expired," bottle from the brewery. I would say at least a year or two in the bottle. Apple and sherry vinegar all of the nose with hints of sweet caramel. Dark and red fruits exude through the palate. The acidity has tamed and the malt has dryed a little from age. With a more complex and rounded palate this beer continues to release wave after wave oif flavors. A soft vanilla sweetness seems to round everything out as the bubbles caress the mouth. On the finish, lingering dryed apple, skins and all, and old malt sweetness are foiled by a refreshing acidity. Autolyzed yeast lend a slight savory touch.

It pours a dark reddish colour, with almost no head. Aroma is really good and sweet, containing red wine and cherries. Taste is equally awesome and brings out everything that was present in the aroma, plus a nice touch of yeast, cherry stones and metal/minerals. Finish brings out a little too much funk which is the only bad thing I have to say. Great brew.

First time ever reviewing a Flemish sour so I’m not to sure how there suppose to taste but here we go. Pours very dark clear reddish brown, massive fizzy head that had moderate retention. Weak aroma, I think I can smell some malts and I’m picking up some kind of weak sweet fruit aroma. What the hell is this taste!!!! Insanely sweet way sweeter then I ever imagined it would be, I was expecting a sour beverage but I got this. Maybe possibly sour caramel flavor but what the hell is that?!?!?!?!? Not bad tasting but I just can’t handle the intense sweetness of this brew, would never be able to drink more then one in a night. I shall rereview

Red-brown beer with a tiny head. Aroma of caramel and oak. Tastes like Glühwein (or red wine). Very surprising and enjoyable!
