Bottle dated best before 5-12-09. Bottle opens with a gush and pours a deep ruddy red color with a dense tan head. Aroma of caramel, sour cherries, red apples, grapes, damp oak and cinnamon. Sour dark fruit and cherry flavor. Lots of caramel sweetness and oak balance the sourness. A touch cloying though. Medium body with lots of carbonation.

Clear medium brown body under a lasting tan head. Acidic sour apple aroma. Funky and musty. The flavor is fruity sweet with tart sourness to balance. Well balanced, tart and refreshing.

11.2 oz bottle Rock On Third Royal Oak, MI. I had this while I watched Detroit beat Chicago into the hockey history books. It poured a dark brownish with an off white head. And I can’t remember the last time I was this pleasantly surprised with a beer. I got this on a whim, never having heard of it, and it was amazing. Sour and sweet notes dominate the flavor, with some hints of granny smith apple on the finish. Amazing. cheers!

This beer was mighty tasty! That’s almost all I have to say about it. I tried a bit of it at a bar that was dimly lit, so my guess for appearance is sort of swayed. Taste and aroma, however, were amazing. I almost didn’t know what to think of it. It had a VERY strong smell, fruity, and at first I couldn’t pinpoint it, but it was certainly vinegar. Amazing! Taste was just out of control. It was like candy yet sour too... man, out of this world. I just cant wait to have some more.

Thick, tan head, amber, lively body with moderate lacing on the glass. Sour, musty aroma. A delightfully balanced sweet and sour flavor.

On tap at La Trappe in SF. A great Flemish sour red. Deep reddish color with a pinkish head. Aroma of spices, red berries, and vinegar. Flavor is high quality balsamic vinegar, both sweet and tart, with raspberry, strawberry, cherry, spice, and wood. Excellent crisp, sharp palate with tingly carbonation.

Bottle. Pours a dark reddish-brown. Aroma of wood, balsamic vinegar, and fruit. Flavor starts very sweet... caramel like. Very creamy and smooth. But too sweet to put it up at the top with my favorites.
