2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Nice looking red-brown beer. Taste far too sweet/fruity(cherry) to my opinion.
From dubbel moving towards kriek.

3.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle: Strong vinegar aroma as well as a little fruit and some sourness. Pours a reddish-brown with some transparency. Somewhat large bubbled head that is gone in 30 seconds. Very sweet flavor. Cherries and sour apples. Light caramel. Reminds me a little of the gueze I recently rated, but not quite as sour. Moderate sour finish. Not a big fan of the vinegar aroma so the final rating is going to take a slight hit. Very similar to a gueze.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Clear garnet-toned body with moderate carbonation and a thin silky tan head with nice lacing. Wild and interesting aroma of sour red wine, balsamic vinegar, black cherries, horse blanket, a touch of chocolate, and mild fusel alcohol. Varied, long, and lingering flavor of cherry candy, grapes, light oak and brett. Medium tartness and very sweet. Reminds me of Turani syrup. Slick, syrupy mouthfeel. A great dessert beer, but too sweet for casual consumption.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
This dark reddish brown ale pours with a generous tan head, eliciting a strong fruity aroma. The flavor is of a tart and fruity sour brown ale. This is a unique beverage that is a pleasure to consume. I drank it in a Rodenbach Grand Cru glass and, for a minute, I forgot that it wasn't Rodenbach.

Sampled at Charlotte Oktoberfest í04; my first Sour Ale. Dark brown body. A very tart flavor with cherry hints. Almost like a wine - kind of reminded me of 3 Monts.

Bottle. Deep brown color, hints of ruby. Whitish head. Great lacing. Big fruity and tart aroma. Taste is both sweet and tart. Pretty tasty but could probably only have a bottle at a time.

Poured a dark reddish brown with no head. Poured with a very thick, almost syrupy, body. Very strong vinegar aroma and tastes (my wife said it smelled like balsamic vinegar). Slightly sweet with a sour finish. Some cherries mixed in there. Thick, oily body. This beer was different than any Iíve rated yet (but not a bad different - I enjoyed it).
