Today, bottle 25 cl. Deep brown with thin beige head. Woody fruit aroma. Sour and sweet pallet. Great balance. light sourness for a sour. But for me is Vichtenaar little better.

I had this in a bottle at the best bar anywhere, 28 Springs in Siloam Springs, AR! Its definitely a sour ale with a bit of vinegar on the nose, but sweet and fruity to the taste! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Duchesse was one of the first sour beers that I ever tried and I love it. Beautiful blend of sweet and sour. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

citrus, ginger, REALLY sweet flavor, lot of head. Almost tastes like a dessert wine and can probably be served with a dessert course.

Drink cold (8°C) Eye: reddish-brown or ruby colour with quickly dissipating head. Nose: acidy, floral and berries such as strawberries. cherries as well. Mouth: a mixture of strawberry vinegar, redcurrant and cherries Palate: sour and complex Overall: somehow refreshing and completely different from conventional beers, but just not my taste. good beer supposedly if you like this kind of beer.

Sweet and sour aroma with noticeable wild yeast character. Light body made more refreshing by the carbonation, and a great sweetness throughout with the puckering tart on the finish. Best of the style.

Whoa, pretty complex stuff. Bottle, poured a deep red, just about maroon, clear. Light tan head, little lace. Ok, where to start. Aroma is almost wine like. Taste is vinegary, though multiple fruits seem present. I’m talking about grapes, prunes, raisens, and apples. I can invision all these things when I take a sip. Lightly sweetend finish. Not a bad brew, evern for someone who enjoys the more bitter beers.

Smells like vinegar, tastes a lot like a top notch cider, and really quite good. I love this style, and this is a nice example.
