Bouteille-Brune très foncé à la senteur de caramel-cerise noire, goût très sucré et très prononcé. Trop sucré pour mes pauvre caries!--Bottle-Dark brown with caramel-dark cherries smell, very sweet and strong with a very thin head.A good beer but not my cup of tea!

New brew at my local beer store under the Belgium section. The label said blend of 8 oak barrel aged ales, sounds up my ally. The brew pours with a rich dark amber liquid and light frothy head. Aroma is an ambrosia balsamic vinegar and Jack Daniels oak barrel. Flavor is sour? Strangely this is my first "Flemish Sour Ale". I’m not sure what to make of the flavor; my palette is unaccustomed this. Nonetheless interesting enough to write my first ratebeer.com review in over two years. My favorite part is the palette. It has a chardonnay oil film type texture while having a bold thick body. Having never tasted another "Flemish Sour", it’s hard to tell where this stacks up. I’ll keep my eye out for another.

Butelka 750ml, z terminem ważności 12/2016, szkło firmowe (pokal 25cl), temperatura degustacji 10 stopni+. Aromat: przyjemny, złożony, wyczuwalna kwasowość przypominająca biały ocet winny, owoce (wiśnia, porzeczka), po zamieszaniu szkła suszona śliwka, i bardziej słodkie owocowe aromaty (malina, truskawka) i podbudowa słodowa lekko karmelowa.

UPDATED: SEP 9, 2009 A clear red colour. Interesting aroma of sweet fermentet fruit. Taste of cherries and sugar. The sweetnes is copansated by the refreshing sournes. Could maybe have a stronger palate. A very intresting and tasty beer.

Bottle, pours nice dark red, with lasting thin lacing and head. Wonderful sweet start and sour finish, perfectly finished. Glad I tried this one.

Aroma has hints of wine, medicine, and paint remover. Whoah! Head is tan colored and endures to the end. Color is a mix of red and bronze...beautiful. Sweetness dominates flavor initially, gradually overtaken by sourness; however, both sweetness and sourness fade from the palate quickly leaving behind little trace of the initial sweet/sour explosion.

Very different from other Fruit derived beer. Sweet fruity aroma with a taste of sour foremost followed by a bit of sweetness. Appearance best described as a tan frothy head on a redish brown cola colored liquid. It was very different yet very enjoyable. Recommend to people who prefer red wine over beer.

Exp: 5/2011 Pours a deep garnet red with a one finger beige head. The initial aroma is of red wine followed by expected Brett funk, and hints of straw, cork, and leather. Wow, huge plum flavor right off, followed by cherry candy and chocolate covered raisins. Hints of oak. I would prefer a more assertive Brett character to balance the sweetness a bit. Zero hop presence on this one. Medium body. Could be a good beer, but needs balance; as it is it’s cloyingly sweet. Perhaps this could be put down to an error in the blending process. Not a swigging or session beer by any stretch. This is one to be shared, and sipped, with friends.

Hmm. This is likely the first Flemsih Sour Ale that I have tasted. Pours an unusual metallic almost sparkling brown with a touch of red. Nice head forms with off white bubbles. Aroma is quite a unique combination of cut wood with old cheese and a dash of cooking sherry or port wine. Starts with a sugary sourness almost like a "sweet tart" and then finishes with a effervescence reminding me of a cherry soda. All sorts of complexities in the flavor with sour apple, dark chocolate, smoke, ginger, black cherry, notes of cedar and more. Like a soda with a medium to full body. A truly unique brew and a treat for me on this night.
